    Bartman,
If it has been working for 8 years and you have kept up on maintenance it seems like your good. I have an Ulterra from 2016 and it is still working fine.

    Jon,
Thank you for your service. I was on active duty in the USMC from 1975-1979.

A friend told me about getting a 10% disability for having Tinnitus (ringing in the ears). I had tinnitus also and went through the County Veterans Service officer, she got everything set up, hearing test, evaluation and hearing aids appointment. The VA approved the diagnosis’s and supplied free hearing aids and supplies for life. The 10% disability comes with a monthly tax free stipend.

Also through the County Veteran Service my wife and I are set up for burial at the VA cemetery in Duluth. Currently the burial cost for the Veteran is $0.00 and the spouse is $750.00.

Netguy doesn’t really answer your question directly but here is what Amped Outdoors says on their FAQ page
    https://ampedoutdoors.com/pages/faq

Q – How to I store my battery when not used?
A – Never store your battery fully discharged. It is best to put a 50% charge on your battery and avoid leaving for a long period of time without charging and in a cool dry place. To ensure the best performance from your batteries for many years, put a charge on your battery at least every 2-3 months. Store your battery in temps of 40-80 degrees and never leave on the charger or charge in below freezing temperatures.

You could also give them a call. In my experience their customer service has been good.

Custom Canvas Plus in Rochester has made some nice boat covers and patio awnings for me.

Someone suggested Wyoming Canvas and they did a great job on a cover for daughter and son-in-laws pontoon.

Jimmy as others have said try to get a tier exception. Since you have a history of a pervious inhaler working and the new one not working due to side effects there is a good chance you will get it. If the tier exception doesn’t work file an appeal. Usually the appeal process is explained in the tier exception rejection letter.

Note: I have to request the tier exception every year but simply call Humana (my drug insurance company) to request it, they do the rest. It took one of my 90 day cost for a med from $1500.00 every 90 days to $5.00 every 90 days and no side effects like the other meds they tried.

I ended up getting hearing aids to help with Tinnitus. They do help during the day. They are charging at night so no help there. My understanding is that there are no tests to detect if a person has tinnitus. Your best bet is to see a professional or talk to your primary doctor for a referral.

If you are a military veteran you may be able to get hearings aids thru the VA for free. The county VA Service officer and helped me through the process. There are lots of videos on YouTube about it. Search on “va tinnitus claim”

I tried on all of the ones mentioned above this fall and went with the blackfish myself

The Blackfish gloves are great. They work well for me.

I live about 65 miles NW of Minneapolis, so I doubt I can get over air channels. Although, I haven’t cared enough to look if that truly is the case.

This site will show you what channels an antenna can get based on your location.
    https://www.antennaweb.org/

It will also help you figure out what kind of antenna you need.

The Thorne Bros Perch Sweetheart is my go to. Also use a 13 Fishing snitch, works well for jigging. Been happy with both.

When talking to the agent that you will get your medicare advantage plan through be sure to ask about the differences between Original Medicare with a supplement plan and a Medicate advantage plan.

Agents get paid if they sell a medicare advantage plan but do not get paid with original medicare and supplement plans. There can also be some coverage changes if you later decide to switch to original medicare after being on a medicare advantage plan. Everyone needs to make their own decision on witch to choose. For AARP members there are some great resources on their website.

Driveway is not quite as wide but is longer. Last year we bought a Snow Joe 15 Amp 18 inch electric, single stage, from Home Depot. It handled most snows except the really heavy stuff. One thing I dislike but the wife is okay with is dealing with the cord. We also use it to clear our deck. It works great for that.

I am an avid reader, mostly murder mysteries located with MN or the surrounding states. Authors Brian Freeman, John Sandford, PJ Tracy, David housewright and Allen Eskens. Also have found some interesting fictional books about game wardens. C.J Box’s character Joe Pickett is one the favorites, Paul Dorian has a series about a game warden in Maine that is also good. Another favorite is from author William Kent Krueger and his character Cork O’Conner set in norther MN.

Other hobbies, building muskie lures, trout and walleye spinners and custom fishing rods. My rod building skills are nowhere near the likes of Rodworks or other rod builders on here, but it is fun. Currently I am working with 6 neighborhood kids and their Dads on creating their own ice rod. Can’t wait to see them out on the ice with them.

My dad (in 2005) and FIL in 2022 both received a set from the VA. I don’t recall the retail price but $2k each rings a bell.
They both hated them and would rather go without then wear them.

Brian I find that interesting. The VA set me up with hearing aids and I love them. They are simple to use and work well for me. The brand they chose based on the hearing test was the Opitcon More 1. They are Bluetooth and adjustable through an app. I do not use the Bluetooth because the notifications from texts and phone calls drives me crazy especially when there is a fish on the other line.

Used to have a seasonal camper on that Big Sis, still one of my favorite lakes to fish. It depends on which species you are targeting. The lake has muskie, northern, walleye small and large mouth bass, crappies and sunnies.

Stone Lake Bait and Tackle should be able to give your advice. If not maybe Hayward Bait and Tackle. Then hit the Angry Minnow (in Hayward) for a River Pig IPA.

Smallies like to summer off the big rock bar in the middle of the lake, In the summer top water (poppers) can be great for them.
Largemouth invade the shallows all over the lake. We did best on small floating crankbaits.
Crappies hang off the deep weed edges. Slip bobber and minnows work best.
The west bay has a sharp weed edge across the opening where the northerns like to hang out. Spoons, bucktails spinners with some red work best.
Didn’t do much walleye fishing so no help there.
Muskies feed along the weeds near deeper water. Lots of cabbage weeds in the lake find them you will find fish. Best bait for us were safety pin spinners like Northland Tackle Bionic bucktails. Also topwater at sunup or sundown.

Make sure you get to Pine Ridge restaurant for the fish fry.

Artistic Anglers in Duluth does an excellent job.

X2 for Artistic Anglers. They did this 50.5 incher. My granddaughter named it Molly.

do have a relative who has issues with baits being caught in his boat lift and in/around his dock up by Hayward, WI. He ended up running 2 cables that almost form a triangle out in front of his fairly long L shaped dock. One is probably 18″ off the bottom and runs between the legs of the long span of dock. The other runs diagonally from the tip of the longest piece of dock and is connected to the larger landing area of his dock closer to shore. This one is probably 3′ off the bottom in ~8′ of water.

Just some food for thought. Some times the dock owner does the cables to keep the deep water posts from bending when the dock is moved. The cables also run back to the next set of post to help with the stress when removing the dock from the muck. I have neighbors who do this and it works. We get lots of bass fisherman pitching the docks and have never had a problem. Most fisherman are good folks.

One of the best units from the way past was Bottom Line, almost as detailed as a paper graph and their CS was excellent, and repair turnaround was fast.

I agree, had Bottomline side imaging back in the 1990’s. My understanding is that Hummingbird bought that technology from Bottomline.

Michelin Defender LTX M/S is another great option. I think they provided a better ride and were maybe quieter than the stock Wranglers on the F150.

X2 – Been very happy with them. Quiet ride, good traction, long life. Run them on a Silverado 1500

My in-laws renew a subscription every year for my birthday. They give both the paper and digital subscription. I do enjoy it but like others have said not all articles get read. When finished it goes to a neighbor to read and he takes it to work for others to read.

Definitely interested in getting a replica done. Haven’t personally mounted any fish, but heard great things about Artistic Anglers out of Duluth.

I used Artistic Anglers for a muskie mount and he did a great job. Highly recommend them.

Make sure you have the proper update. There are multiple updates for all the Helix models and if it does not match the model on the back of the graph it will not load.

If I was to buy again I would not get an electric plug-in snowblower. We have a Toro and manipulating the cord is a real PIA. It does work well but hate dealing with the cord. Have not used any battery operated ones yet.

The pilot flame can be put out pretty easy with a slight breeze, at least on my Big Buddy heater which is probably 10 years old now.

That is exactly what I did. Had a Humminbird shuttle to use and just moved everything to that and added the Amped Outdoor 15A battery. Just waiting for ice to go try it out.
