well me and a buddy of mine fished the north shore this saturday. It was our first time steelhead fishing and it showed. Started out the day at about 645 on the knife river. Fished a couple of really good looking holes and runs for a few hours with no luck. On our way to the car we stopped by the first spot we had fished and watched a guy hook and lose two very nice fish on spawn sacs. We made our way over to the french and fished in the lake at the mouth of the river and again no luck. But one guy was hammerin the loopers and he limited out with his 3 including a 28incher. couldnt tell for sure but i think he was using waxmorms maybe. went back to the knife for a while longer with no luck and watched another guy land one more steelhead from a hole we had fished earlier. Finally finished the day at the mouth of the Lester(Busy as was wverywhere else) one hookup here with a nice fish but were unable to land it. great trip but a lot more to learn about fishing up there.

These two weeks wont go by fast enough!! im currently in the process of tying up some flies, i got buggers, egg sucking leeches, and eggs so far.. any help on sizes and colors would be much appreciated. also should i bring up a spinning rod and spoons to throw in the mouth of the river and into the lake?
