If you can get on the ice the fishing is great right now. Fishing in 10 fow both daybreak & sunset has been best. Catching bluegills crappies & some realy nice perch using waxies on a green jig. The ice is still about 18″ once you get past shore but getting on is starting to get tough.

Spent 3/6 thru 3/8 in a sleeper out of shusters resort. Never again, the shacks were only in 22′ of water & per all the fishing reports you need to be in about 35′. Asked if we could be moved to deeper water & the guides just laughed at us. The main guide was drunk most of the time. All in all ti was the worst trip I have ever had at lotw. I guess it was our own fault for trying to save a little money, you get what you pay for.

I have been out on the chain every day for the last week. I found action to be hit & miss. It seems that the fish have broken up into smaller schools. You will get a fish and if you can get down fast enough you may get another, if not you may have to wait up to half hour before they move through again. The size has improved from last year & you dont have to sort through as many fish to get keepers.

The channel on ten mile is wide open from the mouth of the lake as far upstream as you can see. There is a spot from shore you can fish by the bridge. I have been getting some crappies but not a lot of them and they all have been nice size.
