    HI Eric,

Im not very good with the New IDO format. With that being said, can this reply serve as pre registration for Boat Joe Tenley and Scott Moger for the 2014 saugerama fishing contest. Take care and Tight Lines.

I don’t think an animal that big would live that long. 1871-2014. 143 years. Maybe a turtle or a tree. But not a multi ton multicellular organizm.

National Forest Lands that have public camps sites. Most are free and some are pay with signs. I pick the ones that you cant see from roads that are close to the fish we find and away from people. Since we are 35 miles from the nearest “town” you kinda have to bring everything in with you and plan ahead.

We hooked 14 landed 7. Out of the 7 landed 5 were wild and two were hatchery. Turned out one of the Hatchery fish was the one that decided to engulf the fly. Wild fish must immediately be released.

One. It was good. Took a fly into its gills. First One I kept in over a decade. Going to keep one from now on. Marinated it in soy, lemon juice and sesame oil. Really good table fair. I planked it on Cedar. Yummy:)

Fosters is Hit or Miss. In most instances can be slow and frustrating for trout, but sometimes (after the truck dumps some in) it is fast and productive. I would bring a few beers to help pass the time the way things are going right now.

This is my opinion. Get the eskimo quick fish 6 or the clam equivelant. With hub houses i suggest always staking the hubs to the ice even if it is windy or not because sometimes it is not windy and then becomes windy and then it is to late. If you do that you should not have any problems. I have the quick fish 6 and all my friend make me bring it all the time. So much room it is great. But if you don’t stake the hubs can become a pain. this also doubles as a great 4 season tent for mountain camping.

Heavy rub of cracked pepper, dried garlic flakes and rosemerry. Smoke until internal temperature of 165 is reached. Serve hot or dip in favorite bbq cold.

I strongly agree with Adam. Sometimes the fish just don’t hit it right and you have to make sure you fight them right. Don’t let their head come out of the water even if you have to stick your whole pole in the water.

You would be amazed at how soothing hot tea with honey is and how well it relieves soreness, nasal and head pressure for a while. I usually end up drinking it all day long.

    Since 2004.

    Water temp
    water elevation
    locations
    presentations
    weather

I feel it has helped me.

A geographic area that was not covered by the last three advances of glaciers that burried valleyes in glacial till resulting in visible hills and bluffs being preserved for our enjoyment.

“Life would find a way. If that were true we would not have extinct species.”

As you know BK some species have been alive for millions of years and are not extinct. It is these species that have learned and adapted characteristics to out compete other species.

Invasive species are called invasive species because they are creatures that can out complete other species due to adaptations that give them an advantage.

I don’t have a tuna boat, but some people buy them so they can be close to the river and not have to worry about pulling a trailer during high water. Others as you said do not like fishing. Probably because there parents burnt them out or never introduced fishing to them. Other people have so much money that they don’t know what else to do with it. I also do not have that problem. I would only go boating if the fish arn’t biting, but by the time you know that the weekend is over, so.

    Yeah Joel,

I spent a whole day pre fishing bass by walleye fishing rocks and wingdams and it was hard to get 5 14 inchers. However 2nd place was smallies of wingdams.

The mudneck tournament is a tourament to honor some friends of ours who are no longer with us. I fished it with your buddy Nate from Cannon falls last year. I did pretty good this year, but Nate zeroed on the second day.

Smoked salmon, Cream cheese, white onion, pepper, salt. Yum, Yum.. The only way to go. You can add hot sauce if your into that sort of thing. Salmon to cream cheese ratio should be 2:1 or 1:1 and the other ingrediants to taste preference. Usually light on the salt and pepper. I like to use 1/4 of an onion at least.

To be honest walleye fishing this time of year is tough. I think your trolling idea is good. The flow is lowish, so if you target wingdams I would focus on the first one upstream in the series. I like the ones below Reeds Landing to Wabasha personally. Anchor just upstream from the line produced by the wingdam and pitch jigs and throw cranks. Good Luck, You may need it.

Yeah they went from 18,000 per foot to 11,000 per foot because they are eating themselves out of house and home.
