Might check with recreationalsalvage.com They are up by Detroit Lakes and auction damaged boats. Not sure if they just deal with insurance companies or if individuals can use them also.

He has the 4 blade stainless spitfire already. I would try the same prop in a 17 or 15 pitch and possibly lower your motor a hole if you can. that should make a lot of difference.

Unless that boat is a lot lighter than most 17.5 footers, I’d say your over propped. I had a 1750 Fishhawk with a 17 pitch spitfire that worked quite well.

Have to agree with Steve on the Limit Creek Smoothy! I bought one after reading some previous reviews on here and really enjoy the rod. Paired it with a Scheels outfitters guide size 1000 made by Daiwa couldn’t be happier.

I think Skeeter still sells a sliding bracket. Otherwise, there are a couple companies that sell their own design online.

Have not noticed any paint wear on splash rail. Have had them up close when loaded but will turn. Mostly not an issue. You can always readjust them if it keeps happening.

I went with 4. If it is just the back end that bothers I think you could get by with 2. With 4 it just goes where it is supposed to every time.

Yep. I have a bunk trailer that was always a problem loading straight. you still need the boat backed in the right depth but it will load straight. My trailer started out as a roller and switched it over to bunks. I was considering trading trailers which was going to be pretty spendy. Talked to Chuck and he was very helpful and convinced me the Bullseyes would work.

My black lab was 7 when she had the acl surgery done. She is 11 now and never had a problem with the other leg. It wasn’t cheap but every time (almost daily) that I walk her through the tall grass filter strip along the creek near my house and watch her flushing birds, I never regret it for a second. Good dogs are very special and it will be very hard when this one goes. Enjoy them while you can!

The restaurant will also cook your fish. Just have to bring it in the night before or by 2 or 3 in the afternoon of the night you want to eat it.

Yes it is. Stayed there the last 5 years. Also there is an excellent bar and restaurant a short walk up the hill so you don”t ever have to unhook the boat.Gas and convienience store right on the way out for anything you need.

Thanks for the responses. It is a 2017 Merc 150 4 stroke and yes it was first time with Amsoil. I guess that makes sense if there are more detergents in it.Yes, always use marine gear lube. I refilled with Amsoil and will run it a while ane drain a little out to see whats there. Might even just change it again in 10-20 hours just for piece of mind. Thanks.

I haven’t eaten in McDs since having a big mac attack in Tucumcari NM in 1978. Thought I was going to die.

Only stored indoors in heated garage. boat had less than 100 hours when I went to LOW. It was a fairly wet week (rained during the night several nights) and was docked in the marina. My buddy’s lund was there too with no problems. Go figure. Otherwise, I like the boat and have had no other problems.

Just a heads up. I used the Coppertone Sport 50 on a trip to LOW. I think it did help with the black flies but it left a white stain on seats or upholstery. Anything it came in contact with. So far, I havent found anything to remove it. If anybody knows how to get it off let me know!

I should have been more specific because there is a lot of LOW on the Canada side. We stayed at the NW Angle and the Canadian water we fished around there was on the chip.

I called Humminbird before I purchased it and they said it did. I have since used it on the Canadian side of LOW and yes it does.

    Hey 3rdtryguy
In my op I stated I have a chip. I’m getting close to my seventh decade and have been reading maps a lot longer than looking at a screen.Always good to have a paper map for backup. Or starters for that matter.
Meacham Enterprises no longer does the maps but gave me the connection for where to get them. If anyone else is interested the site is Nautical Charts Online. Nicole Grandstrand was very helpfull if you need it. Thanks again

Thanks for the responses. Tswoboda- thats the type map I’m looking for. The website isn’t very user friendly so I’ll check with Angle Outpost to see if they sell them. Thanks

I did like Browndog said. Mine is on the port side. My ladder is on the starboard side on my Trophy 185.There is plenty of aluminum in the transom to hold it. You can feel the bit going in and out of the metal as you drill through.
