I caught a 36″ muskie at merit a few years ago trolling for eyes in the snake. It sure was fun until he got the thumb with the gill plate.

It usually starts to get good around that time of year. I don’t know how it is right now. The last time I was there was fathers day and we just did ok on the eyes. Had 19# and two 10# pike but like I said that was fathers day. It is the place to be in the fall. Just watch out for sandbars and trees floating down the river.

I think I might try to ice fish it this winter and see if I can find any big gills.

Went out to Yanney the other day took home 13 good gills and on real nice crappie. Other than that haven’t been much. I hope this cooler weather stays around I am ready for fall walleye on the river.

I traded and older Rem 870 for one last year just like this one and it runs great. So take into consideration the gun was very well used and 14 years old so I would also say probably around $100 to $150. The one I got was hardly used still had the paint on the muffler.

I have a pair very similar to those made by Eagle Claw. They work ok and do not cost much at all.

Cabelas sells a pretty mean pair they are called Ice Trekkers Dimond Traction. I dont know for sure if you can get them in a size 14 or not. Check em out. I did buy a very fairly cheep pair from Wal-Mart that work ok. But we I am in Nebraska and it does not get as cold here so our ice is not very often realy hard slick clear lake ice.

Well I moved the spring and it ran wide open for a very short time then goes back to not quit running wide open. I think the spring must be wore out.

I have a 36″ Frabill hole hopper rod. I like it, it is light and very sensitive. I don’t even need the spring bobber on the end that it came with. I also think it still has enough back bone for bigger fish. By far the best one I have.
