    had a 79 80hp good motor ran great.
    but look under the cowl for bad wires. an if oil injected
    ck. for oil leaks.as they tend to get old an crack.
    thus the blown motor

    general rule two line tank 1qt to 6gal.
    single line 1pt to 6gal.

    not on that motor but others a part of piston ring or other
    inside part gets stuck in the exhaust port.

    better have a flat. shorts an sandels. go slow an look for
    deep holes.
    not sure about c.c but heard good things.
    i fish up creek from there.

    if you put in pdc use the marina ramp.
    you can go north to the sand pit.an fish there an not get close to the chanel.fish around the poles they tie barges to.

    i dont know a bought this motor but i had a merc that if
    it was not trimed all the way down it would do the same thing worth a try

    if you know where its at get an old metal stringer
    put a good length of mason line on it open all the
    hooks an drop it over worked for the kids fishing bow

    dont know much about 4sts but if you think its the head gasket
    take a comp ck that should tellyou if that is the prob look for low comp on a cil
