I was in the same situation as you. We camp up near the Namaken narrows each year and my folks and their friends have always had a VHF radio for communicating when up here. I mounted a 8′ Shakespeare 6225-R phase 3 on a custom made heavy duty cisco like mount on my lund sportrac so I can take it off when not up there. I then have my radio mounted close enough to just connect the antenna to the radio and deal with the chord being exposed for the trip. Its great for getting the weather for each day and each resort normally has a channel they monitor. Voyagaire has a channel they do games for their housboats and we haven’t found a area that we can’t hear that (we’ve had them bring us supplies before).

What Atavar and Jon said also Mike suggested Catie Canine who is good.

When I have a biting puppy I will roll his lip onto his teeth and put a bit of pressure on it. At least enough to make him yip.

x2 on the lip into the teeth. Shows them who is boss and also shows them how it feels.

Also x2 on the daily, if not multiple times a day, flipping the dog onto its back and holding it down until it stops resisting. Have your wife/kids do it as well if they are capable.

Once again, I don’t think anyone would say the professional athlete salary is ridiculous as well.

I don’t think anyone is saying there shouldn’t be a significant ratio of CEO pay to the median salary. The problem is in 1989 it only 60-1, now it’s 366-1. But as many have stated, the workers are to blame when the price of vehicles go up?

I also run a 18 amp Amped in my ice bundle with a UHD93 and the lvs32 and yet to kill it ice fishing full days. I also use it in the summer in my boat dedicated to the black box only and have had full days as well. My settings must be different that what Joe is alluding to.

With that said get the bigger battery if its in the budget and can fit in the shuttle if weights not a issue.

Weird how no one remembers the couple tests when the orange man was president.

    Life goes on.

Do I need to upgrade to the Navionics premium plus or whatever? I’ve wondered what the Garmin only guys are doing. But I’ve also seen guys run all Garmin except one helix specifically for mapping. doah

I’ve been running the garmin base maps for a while now and have been wondering the same thing. For my area lakes (Alexandria) the base maps are pretty good. When I go to more remote lakes(lake of the woods, any lake in voyager national park) they tend to be good in the main channel areas, but they can also be off like tomr is saying 20-30 feet.

I’ve also wondering if upgrading to the navionics+ is worth it for those lakes.

What is your opinion is a fair annual earning for a CEO or executive?

Say 200 times the amount of the lowest paid employee? You want a raise, give them a raise.

Just heard the song for the 10th time in the past few days. It is definitely unique and well thought out. After listening to this many times, I dont feel he has any sway on political party, and he is more or less just singing about those that are under-helped in general.

When I see any type of news on TV or the Internet, there are so many stories that are pitched against a person or political opponent instead of those that are caught in the middle He seems to be in the middle (along with those he sings about)

He posted a video earlier today about how funny it was that the GOP played his song at the debate. He went on to say that song wasn’t written about Biden but how it was bigger than him and was written about them and many others. I wonder if he’ll get canceled now?

Ideal conditions I can touch 43. I’ve never messed with different props besides with one that it came with.

We have a 21 1775 Adventure with the 115 XS. Every year we go island camping at Voyager and load out boat up with much more than 775 lbs with gear. We have never had a problem getting on plane and cruising.

I had the exact setup you had, and when I added a livescope I mounted the lithium battery I got for ice fishing in the boat next to my trolling motor batteries and ran that dedicated for the livescope. I connected the on board charger and charger for the small lithium battery to a short extension chord splitter so I only plug one thing in to charge both.

I’s on season 2 of a 1775 adventure and love it. If I had the extra 10k to get the impact I would love to have the extra width, but I’ve ran mine up in Sabaskon bay Lake of the woods and up on Namakan lake (voyager national park) with no issues. I’m a muskie guy who fishes crappies a lot in the spring and walleye fishes a couple trips a year so the single live well in the rear is plenty for me, plus the livewell is huge and I get more storage up front. We walleye fished 4 out of the boat last week in voyager national park with no issues. I can’t remember the exact prop I have but I can get 42 by myself and with a fully loaded boat (way over weight specs) going out camping last week I could get 39 and it jumps out of the water just fine. Boat on the trailer I believe is around 23-24 feet but I’d have to double check.

Biggest gripe about the boat is the fuel gage is trash. Shows me on empty with I still have 10 gallons left.

We have always launched at the public launch just south of handbergs marina (they have ice cream cones if you need a boost one day). We called handbergs and they claimed that access is not usable and they are letting people launch for $5 and allow parking for $5/day. We also normally go back to them for gas once during the trip.

We have never fished the Canadian side since we most always have come cold ones with us and there is plenty of water I still have yet to explore on the American side.

Well as luck would have it I found a site on Sand Point lake, large site with a dock! Browns Bay View site. Now we can start digging into fishing that side of the world!

We are headed up next tuesday the 7th and staying at Jenson Bay site (just east of you guys a bit). From what I have heard don’t expect the dock to be usable. We’ve done pretty well in the past in browns bay for crappies and have heard people trolling the south shoreline and catching some eyes (we don’t troll much). If you see a bright red full console lund come say hi and maybe we can figure them out!

Tape on the garage floor where your tires are when it’s in its place. Along with your mirrors.

Best thing I ever did along with a 2×4 where I want it to stop.

What size Ram are you guys using for the summer? I recently got livescope and got the Summit pole (for ice fishing). It looks like the summer mount comes with a size c ball on it. Can you get that tight enough so your pole doesn’t bounce all over the place while driving in some larger waves? Or have you upgraded to a size D?

We just got back from a week of camping on the north end of Sandpoint lake just before the Namaken narrows. We launch our boats in at the crane lake public launch, park our trucks there, and head out to the island. No checking in/out. There is no need to laminate the permit as each site has bear lockers that have a little mailbox type thing to place the permit in. We mostly walleye fish and it was tough as they just had a mayfly hatch the week before we got there. We marked a lot of fish in 20-26 FOW but they just were not hungry. It seamed that leeches behind lindy rigs did the best. Hope you have a screen tent packed as the mosquitoes are thick after dark.

    Good luck!

For #2 yes you can buy Canada. A lot of LOTW is covered on the us Lakevu though. I’ve fished out of Morson and haven’t ran out of map yet.

I’ve always been under the impression that 87 is fine as long as it doesn’t sit in your lines for awhile. If you run your boat every other day or ever 3 days, 87 is fine. If it sits for a longer period of time use premium/non-oxy. My family has never fogged our 4 strokes and I just got a new 115 mercury and don’t plan to. We run some stabil and leave the tanks full to prevent condensation in the tank before we put it away.

My old man tapped the trees at his place and my uncles, I’ll be putting them in my trees today. He ended up getting a gallon or so over the weekend. Should start really flowing this week here in Alexandria.

I was wondering the same thing when we got our new boat, but my wife brought up a good point. You don’t want your prop spinning when your up on the sand bar with little kids swimming around.

WD-40 like everyone else have said. Then put the pedestal in a vise and use something to prop open the clip that locks the pedestal into the base (i used a standard screwdriver). Then hit the base with a dead blow hammer…. Then after you get it off put candle wax on the plastic part of the pedestal.

Thanks for the info. I’ve used them fall sucker fishing and they are great. I just bought a new boat and was hoping I wouldn’t have to get two different ones for the little walleye fishing I do.

I am fairly sure it is only usable on handheld devices, nothing like a Roku or Firestick.

I’m not sure on firestick/Roku, but they do have a app on xbox.

mrpike, the only difference between your trailer and mine, is the middle roller on mine is 8″ long (looks like your front roller and middle roller are the same 4/5″ long. when loading the boat, back the trailer in tell you can just barely see the top of the roller that is cut off on the left side of image 105_1188.

I can take a picture next time I’m out and send it your way.

I have what looks to be the same boat. 1994 16′ Rebal adventure series? When i unload by myself i back in tell the boat floats then get into it and back it off the trailer, if my wife is with me she backs me in tell i float off. When its time to load it back up i back the trailer in so i can just barely see the very top of the very back rollers. The majority of the trailer is out of the water and it doesn’t look like it is enough but trust me it is. Then hit it straight and you can either power load it all the way up to the winch or get out and crank it.
