Some people are pure boneheads. Driving too fast for conditions, without headlights on when its snowing/raining. Heck I saw one yesterday when it was pitch black out and its the service manager at the shop by my house so I texted him and told him to turn on his F*ing headlights.

What’s worse no head lights or texting while driving?

It’s the first snowfall of the year, don’t treat the roads so everyone is reminded on how to drive in winter again. It’s a win win

We did have enough people in the boat so our 1 over 20″ was all good. Party fishing is legal isnt it?

It will not fit a twin size mattress, however it is insulated, no heater needed after an ice trip?

how about adding some more fuel on the fire, think about AIS now. anyone up for a smelt fry in the fish house? if you cant use them for bait, would it be legal to have them on a lake at all, or do they have to be preserved by a licensed dealer?

what if I buy them from cub?

just trying to stir the pot some more

ok so here is the big question, can you eat Smoked Walleye while fishing in a boat on Mille Lacs when there is only a catch and release season on Walleyes? what if the walleyes were pickled, would that make a difference?

i have heard of guys going to Lake Michigan catching a 10 fish limit, then dropping those 10 fish off at the smoke house and going for 10 more fresh fish. before heading home, stop at the smoke house and now the transport 20 fish back home. after a week of fishing

    sounds tempting to me

MNdrifter, do the signs say what the reason is for the closure? The craziest part of the lake inspections on these lakes is that Lake Sylvia previously had AIS.

it looks like the pic says closed temporarily due to stary stonewort treatment

Scott which talora model do you have? I’ve used one in a buds boat and thing was ridiculously sensitive. Like a piece of weed on a small husky jerk trolling the Croix in 20-25′ deep sensitive way.

I like my talora, but I really want another 10′ Jason Mitchel rod, I can somewhat read the rod with 4 colors and a #5 flicker shad, but with a little pull you can feel it running

Remember Leadcore is heavy and it deadens a lot of things, if you are looking for the fight of a fish, start downrigging, no extra weight on the line, just you and the fish

just a follow up to this thread, after a year of use, I snapped the tip off 2 more times, so now I just cut it off at the second to last eye and we shall see how it goes now. This is the only rod that I have broken in the last 6 years!

hope everyone else is having better luck with theirs, at least the price was right for me.

most inflatables are not counted as a PFD unless wore is spot on. try putting one on when it is inflated…

buy some cheap vests and put them on the back of every seat, then wear your inflatables and when asked show the vests on the back of the seats everyone is happy.

just remember in MN at least, PFD’s must be “Readily Available” however the throw able must be “Immediately Available”

At least that is My Understanding on the matter….

inner city lakes are no gas motors so you could use the trolling motor on any of those lakes and not deal with any “big” boats
