You guys with mid 100 to 150 opti’s – I have a 135 (early 2000’s motor / low hours)….haven’t used it all that much myself since purchasing a few years ago. Seems to have a mid-rpm sound like a knock, but definitely not a piston knock or real loud. Merc tech I talked with that’s worked on it mentioned it’s just the airbox sound I hear. Normal with how much vacuum these motors create. Similar to all your experiences? TIA.

Cougareye – could you post any contact info, or PM. I’m looking for a place to go this summer too – sounds interesting.

    Thank you in advance!

Gentleman – great info….our kids are younger (oldest is 11) and as you mentioned MyThai – I want to be two steps ahead of them & learn about our options. I’ve already blocked a few sites we’re not comfortable with and will continue to do so as time goes on.

Is the auto backup an easy setup?

    Thanks again for the advice
    John

kpd – thanks for the info (& remember reading & hearing the news – keep up the great job)….exactly why we are concerned. Fully trust our kids, but there are a TON of bizarre individuals looking to take advantage of the innocent.

    Any other remcommendations for software?

    Thank you.

Andy – I have two boys (ages 10 & 8) skating in RYHA, great program by the way! The season is already underway, but you may be able to still enroll? Drop me a PM, or email at [email protected] with any questions.

I was out Sunday with my two boys – down below Lake City on the MN side….simply pulling cranks along the rocks from 8′ to 12′ of water. One nice sauger, couple of BIG strippers that my 7yr old tangled with (fun & exciting for him)& a few goats – only fished for about an hour – then it got pretty warm & the kids wanted to swim. Great day on the water!

Not a tourney, but there is a powerboat run starting from below the Alma dam & heading up river – to Red Wing & back. The boats will be starting out around 10:00am….

    Thank you, Cade.

Whatever is biting (even goats are fun to catch – baaaah) – me & a couple buddies have a hall pass from the brides….I’ll post our results.

Spent yesterday afternoon & evening (until 8ish) on Pepin. Pulling cranks in the usual go to summer pattern areas & was pretty slow – only one decent Sauger….was hoping with the warmer weather that the fish may have been in our summer spots?? Not yet though.

Ended up in front of Roeschen (spelling?) landing dragging jig & 1/2 crawler setup and had better action….small walleye + a few other goats. baaahhaaa.

    Good luck.

Thanks Airpart – good news. I was down below Wabasha with my boys (7 & 9) on Sunday and had a great time on the wingdams with a simple hook & crawler setup….lots of small mouth & the usual sheepies – kids had a great time. My younger boy had a big Northern up to the boat that broke off – guess I didnt get the net quick enough, but I was too busy trying to keep both him & the pole from going in too!!

Years ago I had worked at a boat dealership & acetone comes to mind for removing adhesives? As with most products, probably best to try in a small area first.

This is a great event for the kids – was out last year with my two boys & had a fun time…..good sponsors & plenty of extra activities to keep the younger ones interested. Would recommend this event, great family time!

Mother nature was more than cooperative too – 40+ degrees & the sun was shining.

    ok…you set the hook.

Great site with TONS of info..not going anywhere, as there is plenty to learn.

Do I win the prize for the longest ‘lurker’?
