Hawg Outdoors…nice lights and they are true view leds, not that annoying super white/blue led like the otters

That’s dumb. I probably won’t buy it if I can’t plug it in charge it and use it at the same time…

Mike…I have the same issue as you…bought the unit just before Christmas and used it over New Years…takes 15-30 seconds to read bottom with flasher and 2d…I called Hummingbird and long story short they never heard of the issue and I just sent it in last Friday for them to look at.
Also when switching from open to ice mode it puts the unit into simulation mode and can’t find the transducer.
It’s seems most people don’t have the issue. Hopefully they can fix it or it’s getting returned!

Weird. Let us know what the issue is if they find anything! I’d rather use it this season before sending it in but it will probably happen.

yeah I have the 12ah amped lithium…its a must have. dont like the unit for any kind of hole hopping, waiting 10 seconds for the depth and even hen it will jump from the depth to some random number…waiting for them to release an update but they havent yet…the gps is nice.

Mine lags terribly when hole hopping and freezes for over 5 seconds after I put the transducer in the hole… ice helix 7 g3…no updates for it yet per humminbird .

No I was 100yds away from someone all day. It read fine just sitting there but when I pulled it out of the water and dropped in another hole it just froze…I emailed humminbird but it wasnt much help. Is the chirp just for interference rejection ?

Yeah it’s strange. I had it up at red and hole hopping was frustrating waiting for the depth to load. I even put it on manual depth of 15ft…

Can anyone help me with updating a new helix 7 g3 ice? I downloaded the update, saved to encrypted sd card, but when I insert the card it only recognizes my mille lacs map I got for free…the unit says it is version 2.030 and it doesnt ask me to update to the 2.110 any ideas?

I tried the I fish pro 2.0 up on red this weekend. Dissapointed. I walked past it on my way to my portable and the trigger was bouncing around so I grabbed the rod and set the hook…fish on. Never tripped the flag on the sensitive setting. Nice 21″ walleye tho. Only fish I caught on it.

Also looking at getting one of these…if i can fish with a 34″ rod, looks to be the “biggest” 1 man…the eskimo wide 1 seemed cheaply built.
