I used to have a hitch-hauler for my wheeler. That worked awesome for my one man and two man shacks.

I even bolted a matching sled (two man Eskimo) to the hitch hauler. The shack nested perfectly into to it. For short runs I wouldn’t even tie it down.

I did however always have a strap running from the hitch hauler to the rear rack, to help distribute the weight.

B-man, forgive my ignorance, but is this (attached picture) similar to what you’re referring to? And you’d have that in your ATV receiver with the flipover on it?

That’s actually a great idea – I have a trip in the coming weeks and it’s projected to be about 12 degrees so hoping that it does work. The trouble is the gap where your line sits in the water is sizeable and I’d be afraid to close it in too much for fear that it would run and get caught but the best thing is if it didnt work you could carve it out

I put masking tape over the slot and any small holes to keep the foam from getting through.

Hey guys, I have another question. I know that this was covered in another topic but a problem that seems to be occurring is on a frigid cold day, you cant seem to keep your hole cleared from icing over. I know with other applications there are ways to solve this problem but does anyone have any tips/tricks that apply to an iFish pro that won’t affect it’s performance? TIA

I was giving this some thought as well and decided to fill the bottom side with expanding foam – hoping this insulates the hole well enough to keep it from icing over. I can let you know how it goes once I test it out.

We have a place in Nevis and the walleye fishing has been fairly poor for the past few years. Guys that have been here a long time say it used to be good, but suspect the current pike regulations (40″ minimum) have had an adverse effect on the walleye population. I am curious about some good crappie lakes in the area.

yes, deep snow and slush will make an ice cube out of anything…

phishingruven01 – no kidding! I hope that was taken after you were done for the day.

Fish are dealing with noise constantly this day and age. It’s not like it’s catching them off guard. Boats, swimmers, vehicles on bridges, dams, the sound of ice forming and other natural sounds, etc. they’re being bombarded by vibration all the time.

To that point, I would imagine that the sudden cessation of noise could/would also spook the fish. If you’re making some noise and chatting with your buddies then all of a sudden you start marking fish and everyone gets super quiet – that may be unsettling as well.

So far I’m hearing country, AC/DC, some Grateful Dead… are these species specific? Are we attracting Walleye with country, Pike with AC/DC? What are the Crappies in to? I might have to create species-specific playlists peace whistling

So do you keep the bail open with a finger on the line, or just keep the drag light?

are you jigging a full minnow of decent size, say small chub, big fathead or shiner? Or are you running full minnows on bobber lines/dead sticks?

I haven’t done much walleye fishing so my tactics are limited, but I’ll usually set up a dead stick/tip up with a full minnow in one hole and then jig with a full minnow in a different hole.

From what I have heard, sounded like an epoxy issue.Chances are it will still work but overtime will degrade further. Worth a shot to email them though and see what they say.

Good call on emailing Marcum. They are sending me a new transducer. I didn’t think they would since I’m not the original owner, but that’s great customer service!

I’ll give that a shot. I bought it used but worth a shot before I purchase a new transducer. Any ideas as to what causes that?
