Awesome looking bear! Had my buddys dad bait our bait this weekend, and I didnt have my camera in its cage and a bear swatted it off the tree, needless to say it got a little smashed up, got a lot of pics of the top of the trees! Thank god it was an older camera. Lesson learned, dont forget your bear cage at home. I guess this means I can go camera shopping!

I’m sure it’s the same buck. AND, It’s hard to think that he won’t be the walking world record come next fall.

Think of how popular he will be by then. Everyone and their neighbor will be out looking to get some video and pics of the giant.

Yeah I feel sorry for the landowner and landowners around it, remember the field and stream buck from urne, wi? I saw more traffic in that area than ever, suprised they didnt make a 4 lane highway out of it. Field&StreamBuck The farmer was so sick of people stopping and offering to lease, but you cant blame them, everyone likes big horns!

Wolves wolves and more wolves! A good buddy of mine hunts around the bayfield area and hardly sees any deer. Even talking to people in the hayward area the deer hunting is still kind of poor. Dont get me wrong there are some really nice deer in these areas just not numbers. On the plus side the bear hunting is very good, but it takes 7 years to get a tag! I agree with pat for deer hunting I would stick to the west central part of the state, pepin buffalo trempelau dunn La Crosse area is all really good deer hunting

I was in fleet farm the other day and they had some german AR style rifles, they are an odd caliber but similar to a 223. The cost was only $350 with a clip. A guy a know bought one in just the plain rifle and shot a tight group at 150 yrds with iron sights. I know they sell the ammo at fleetfarm but dont know if it is common elsewhere.

Isn’t the theory that they move LESS during the day in full moon times because it is so bright at night?

What were the nights like on the days you saw alot of movement? More specifically, was it cloudy or clear at night?

I am no expert by any means but I have always heard that the deer tend to move more from 10 am- 2pm during the day during the full moon, and then also again at night. Driving around I do notice deer feeding around noon before or during a full moon.

Had an awesome night tonight over a food plot, had a 145ish 9pt at 20 yrds waiting for him to come broadside and a coyote come through and scared all the deer out. Dont know if Ill make it out the rest of the muzzleloader season, so I guess he will just be that much nicer next year! Was definatly a cold sit though, 7 degrees this morning
