Maybe Wes will join the thread and share our fun story about Judson last month. Let’s just say — wide open followed by 3 hours of digging and a tow job.

Totally legal. We spend many nights on the banks and have been checked by game wardens on the river and they only check your fishing license. The water is really low, but Judson is a good spot to put in, or 7-mile between st.peter and mankato.
    enjoy!

I will also say, I appreciate the tips in this thread. There are some things you just don’t experience when you drop a boat in less busy waters.

Thanks for the advice, but I’m good with backing up a trailer. What I said was I was rusty lining the boat up on the trailer in the current and wind. (I’m used to my 14 foot tiller) And I am out there now and I will be this weekend.

I say be patient if you can, as some of us are rusty. I’ve been away for a while and my buddy shakes his head as I line up his boat, but I’m apologetic and trying my best. Just like anything, it takes a little practice.

I’m with you on the more caramel tastes of Crown.
If you like that, definitely try Stranahan’s.

well if that’s how we start a whiskey conversation, I’ll go with the following:

    Breckenridge Bourbon
    Crown
    Pendelton Canadian Whiskey
    Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey
    Booker’s Bourbon
    Eagle Rare Bourbon

I feel right at home already!

    Thanks for the warm welcome!
Yes, I agree with the Whiskey comment.
Just found my new favorite whiskey, btw. It’s Breckenridge Bourbon. Not available here yet, but coming soon. (no this isn’t a 3rd party pitch, this is a true whiskey fan finding a dangerously good bottle…yes, dangerously)
