After reading that one, I always have to go this this one for comfort…

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….

    This one?

You will know when the time is right, but when it is you must let go.

    If It Should be..

If it should be I grow frail and weak

And pain prevents my peaceful sleep

Then you must do what must be done

When this last battle can’t be won.

You will be sad, I understand Selfishness might stay your hand

But on this day, more than the rest, Your love and friendship take the test.

We’ve had so many happy years

That what’s to come can hold no fears

You’d not want me to suffer So,

When the time comes please let me go.

Take me where my needs they’ll tend. Only stay with me until the end.

Hold me firm and speak to me. Until my eyes no longer see.

I know, in time, you, too, will see its a kindness you do for me

Although my tail it’s last has waved

From pain and suffering I’ve been saved

Do not grieve it should be you who must decide this thing to do

We’ve been so close, we two, these years……. Don’t let your heart hold any tears

My recommendation would to check the flying clubs in your area. I earned my single engine land after joining the local club that had an instructor who was a member. It was a very reasonable cost to get certified and to be able to have access to aircraft to enjoy.

I am no longer current because flying is not something that you can do now and then and be a good, safe pilot. Due to many other commitments, my flight time dwindled to a couple hours a month which concerned my Dear Wife, who wanted me to ”Fly or quit”, so that I would be around to enjoy retirement .

Most of the instructors that I have known give potential students a ride around the patch, only do this if you are prepared to be addicted. Give it a try, when you are old and gray, you will not be looking to the sky and saying “I wish I would have…”.

“Mountain Man”…not even close. This jerk sounds like a claude dallas type big mouth. Any and all true sportsmen and women should be totally discussed with this low life.

All “mountain men” that I have ever had dealings with “lived off of the land”, as long as the “land” provided cabins to break into and burglarize, vehicles parked at trail heads and boat ramps to steal from. Oh, and can’t forget about the Wild Resources that these chumps steal from all of the license buying, taxpaying honest people.

With today’s social services, there are no reasons to have to “poach to feed da family”…I was not born with any type of patch on my shoulder and was reared in an old Smelter Stiff’s home, won’t say that I never knownly committed a fish and game violation in my early years. Most of them were due to the lack of common sense, usually meaning not taking the effort to learn to rules and regs .

Any one that supports and/or admirers this type parasite is, in my opinion, no better than him.
