You might look at Lews reels too. All my spinning reels are Shimanno, but Lews makes a better baitcaster.

Well I certainly didn’t know they had a 55# Terrova, my bad.

My Minn Kota 3 bank charger operates each bank independently. If one battery shorts out or gets disconnected the other 2 banks keep charging. Other chargers may be different.

Didn’t know they had a 12v model. They only had the 80# when I bought mine.

I HIGHLY suggest 3 batteries. 2 of the batteries should be dedicated to your Terrova, you absolutely do not want to run your fish finders on 24v.

judging by the size of his boat I imagine his trolling motor is a 12volt.

    Terrovas are 24v.

Why can’t you use your charger unless you have 3 batteries?? The bank without a battery will just not charge when it senses no battery.

The 3rd battery will run everything else without a problem. I run 2 graphs, 2 aerators, and crank the motor with one battery all day long and it barely loses a charge.

Make sure that the 2 trolling motor batteries are bought at the same time and are identical. This will extend their life. There is also a conditioning process that should do over the first 20 or so uses that will also extend the battery life.

Smart chargers are worth every dime too. Not only will they extend the battery life, but they won’t over charge and help with winterization.

The one thing that everybody forgets is that the earth didn’t always have polar ice caps like we do now. There is evidence that Siberia used to be green. They found wooly mamouths encased in ice with green plants in their mouth. So maybe the earth has been to cold for the last 2000 years and now its normalizing.

On the dropoffs or maybe deep, but chances are the fish may be lots shallower than you think!

Buy Yamaha. I like Mercury, but a Yami will always be on the back from now on.

No mountain climber I know, and that includes a whole bunch of ski patrol. Somebody told me to do that exact same thing when I was in high school. My feet were the coldest they have ever been.

Maybe it would work for above freezing temps, but not for cold weather.

Do not put plastic bags around your feet in any fashion. It will lock I’m the moisture, then they will get cold. Bad idea.

There are a couple good ones in Cocoa Beach. Less than 90 min drive. Excellent snook and speckled trout fishery.

High sided boats or if you fish in white caps you will require a 54-60″ shaft. Bassboats need a 45″ shaft.

I’d call HB and ask them. I’d be willing to say that unless both units are SI units, you cannot see the SI data on the non SI unit. If both units are SI, then only one transducer is necessary. The unit has to be able to read SI data to be able to display it. But I could be wrong.

How old is the reel? I assume fully functioning?

I made one 4′ square using old clothes and it has taken at least a 1000 hits this year with no signs of wear.

Make a box with 2×12 4′ wide. I used 6′ boards on the side and with 4′ boards in between. The top board needs a hole cut in it about 6″ wide and a foot long. Cover the two openings with a layer of chicken wire, then a plastic tarp or landscape fabric. Now stuff the inside with old clothes. Put a bunch in, pack down with a 2×4, add more, pack more. Once its full, cover up the hole to prevent weather from getting in, I used a piece of tin roofing that overlapped a foot. Screw a 24″ 2×4 on the bottom of the legs for support and start shooting!! You may have to repack the clothes after 3-400 shots, but then it’ll be good to go.

You can get the clothes from any goodwill of thrift store, they always have some that are not good enough to sell. You MUST remove buttons and zippers first, but a pair of EMS sheers makes it easy. You will need 6-7 garbage bags of clothes.

    I made it for $35.

You’re not going to pick up weak signals like bait fish through the hull. Hook up the SI ducer under your jack plate and you’ll be good to go.

Clam mittens with a disppsible warmer. And dress warmer overall. You may not feel cold, but your body will shunt the blood from your fingers first when ur body temp drops a miniscule amount.

First off, keep it off the carpet whenever possible. But if it gets on there, there are a couple products that work really well.

I use Bass Boat Saver. In addition to wiling down the entire boat, seats and all, it will also spot clean carpet. It has UV protection in it which is why I use it, but a couple sprays on the blood, then hose off and its gone. NEVER power wash carpet.
