Thanks, I have a master switch on my Lund Alaskan that takes care of the power issue, I remember it 99% of the time. Between spotlock and the 12ft Talon I’ve thrown an anchor maybe 3 times in 2 years, in deep water only when we were swinging too much with Spotlock with higher wind. I’m sure I’ll get a 15, just was curious if any known issues with problems with the extra extension not retracting, etc.

Strikemaster’s response to my inquiry of a fix for this auger next year…

“Thank you for your email. Below is the recent Recall Notice. We apologize for any delay. At this time, there is no repair options for the auger. We are working with the supplier of the power unit and trigger switch to find or develop a replacement switch. We hope to have a fix, but we cannot yet offer switch replacement, repairs or any type of timeframe”

    …thats’s where they’re at on 02/16/2015

I’d settle for the Rapala bucks instead of a refund, but without knowing I’m not sure Rapala(Strikemaster) would get that money back in sales from me if there is not going to be a new Lithium Lazer. I really like mine!

It must not be happening too much, I haven’t heard of it till now and I have been constantly looking over reviews. I own two, 1 hasn’t been used yet, and the other about 100 holes, no problem with that one yet. I’ll be happy if they credit and then you can buy new ones with new good switches for the same price when they have it worked out.
