I have a LMS 480 and love it. You also have to consider the chip you put into it. I got the one by navianics and i had very good luck and enjoyed fishing a lot more with this unit. I am still learning about it. I also got a set up so I can bring it in the house during the winter and power it with ac current so I can play around with it and learn. the ac/dc adaptor was about 20 bucks and worth it. Good Luck

Check at Menards I saw one there a few years ago it also gave you all the materials needed to build it. It consisted of a tarp with the ends of plywood. Looked pretty neat.

Hagberg’s in Lake Elmo right in Hwy 5…….. they make great sausage and fantastic brats,,,,, try them out.
During the hunting season they specialize in deer processing and have a big semi trailer or 2 that they keep the deer in and you can just bring in the entire thing and they take care of it…..

I have a beagle and its there nature to bark but I guess you can’t have them barking at night because the neighbors have a right to peace and quiet too. So I got one to put on him at night….. partly because I have rabbits running all around the back yard that is fenced in and we let the dog run back there.

I got a catalog from a friend I beleive it was a company called foster. I did some checking at all the pet stores around and this was the best deal. I paid about $75 and its the kind that you can recharge with an electric cord. I did not want to spend all the time and dollars on a battery operated model………. So far it works great and you can hear when it is being used…. Don’t know if my dog is a slow learner but he still gets corrected every now and then but when i put it on him at night usually I don’t hear a peep out of him. I so much want to leave it off but when I have around 10:30 he starts up with the barking… so its just a routine now.

Its one of the best things i think i have done with him. Its not fair to the neighbors and I feel responsible when he barks late at night when its time to sleep——-

Good Luck and if you can’t find it online i’ll look for a catalog and give you the exact info.

Great—- Glad you got a muskie even though you were not targeting them…. The release is the important part so it will be someones trohpy some day……………. I don’t know a lot about White Bear either so any info will help me out too. I use to have a fish house in the winter off of the Belaire beach and got lots of pike and a few bass…. but that was a different season as I said………….

I have tried the muskies on White Bear but have never connected as of yet……

I agree Jason I’d love to know also so you are not the only one that was wondering—– i’d guess a jig that you retreive slowly verses hopping and jiging back, but that is just a guess…. Be interesting to find out?

How do you tie your spinner baits on to your line and do you use a snap or a sweivel? Thanks

Not sure if i know exactly what you mean but i don’t think i’d trust a spinner bait on the end of my line with just a small elastic rubber band??????? seems to me it you used a rubber band and a snap swivel to that there is lots of room for failure and breakage of the band——-

There is no loop on the newer spinner baits— but the split ring is a good idea i will try on the bigger spinner baits that i have that do have the loop—– the ones I am talking about do NOT have the loop just a little kink in the wire— thanks

August 5. 05 — got a chance to get on the river at the Kinnie early this morning. got some smallies carp and my partner got 2 cats over 10 pounds—- one hit a night crawler and the other a fathead. We were really targeting walleys but as you know on the river you get what ever you get. 2 small walleys then the boaters started around 11:30am so we left for another day——– the cats sure put up a nice fight and so did the carp and i think a buffalo fish— not a carp but looked very similar
