What are the odds of someone asking this. Just last night I did it for the first time. Worked perfectly but I definitely was hustling to get to the boat after parking truck.

Not sure on your location but I have a Golden Hawk canoe I would part with cheap. I believe it is 10′ in length. SW Michigan

January 5, 2022 at 11:35 am #2086878Still no issues with my boots. This is the 5th year with them. Still good to go.
October 8, 2021 at 12:36 pm #2066168Yes they went out of business. I have one and luckily it has never been deployed.
September 16, 2021 at 7:28 am #2061108I have the Daiwa’s
I think some of the Jason Mitchell branded reels have the fold down option.September 13, 2021 at 8:36 am #2060081I had the two smallest Otter hubs and sold them once I got my 450XD Eskimo.
The walk in door is sweet. Otter is now putting that option on theirs so I would say it would be a brand preference to you at this point. Both quality shelters.December 21, 2020 at 8:16 am #1999088I have a Runner Thermal with cover, hyfax kit and hitch installed that has been sitting in basement if anyone is interested.
January 2, 2020 at 1:22 am #1902513Hey now don’t be hating on the Hawks! haha.
Went last year and it was a good experience but I don’t think I would go again.Attachments:

I just returned from my annual trip. Fished the 20th thru 25th
ice was around 7″ but when we left temps were in mid 30’s and it was a slushy mess out there. Averaged 2-3 keeper walleye a day and had some nice perch mixed in. A lot of short walleyes as years passed.December 5, 2019 at 11:37 pm #1895723I have the predator and bought the Trekker suit for extra. Wore it once and sold it. Don’t like the material
November 10, 2019 at 10:46 pm #1890162I just won’t watch the googans period. There are too many good fishermen out there like Aaron, JM, TR, the Lindners, Angling Buzz, IDO, etc. on youtube to waste my time. When I’m out for a laugh, or just want to reminisce over the Brainerd Lakes area, I will pop on some Fishnmore with Murray, and Nick.
I also like Jay Siemens and Tom Boley
November 6, 2019 at 9:32 pm #1889551On one hand, I would love to support Aaron Wiebe, that guy is legit. On the other hand, I can’t stand that Peric kid, he drives me nuts. Not idea how those two got teamed up. I’d support a local rod builder too.
X2. Love uncut angling. cant stand Peric
October 28, 2019 at 8:22 pm #1887469put wheeler in truck first. Slide ramp under wheeler. leave tail gate down and put shanty in long ways (across the tailgate) and then take two ratchet straps and go from your receiver hooks up around to the tie downs in corner of truck bed.
January 22, 2019 at 9:27 pm #1828613I like the bench in my lodge. Can lay down and nap when the bite is off. I don’t like the seat in my pro cottage. I took the cross bar off and seat out and just use a big tripod seat or bucket depending on how long I will be out.
Lightens the whole setup and have all storage in shantyDecember 31, 2018 at 8:21 am #1821833Doh! Didn’t even think of that. Just ran to hardware store and good to go. Thank you and the charts are sweet.
December 31, 2018 at 3:27 am #1821808I am curious how you hook up your little buddy heater to a 5 or 11lb tank. I bought a 90° fitting and still cannot screw the heater on as it hits the top of the propane tank
December 12, 2018 at 11:01 pm #1817329I just got a pair of the polar vortex 1200’s. I wore them hunting in 10° temps and my feet got a little chilly as I had my lightest wool socks on and I was sitting still. I fished last Saturday for 11 hours with no shanty and feet stayed really warm. They are a lot lighter than I thought they would be. The studded sole is nice. The BOA laces are a plus and I think the sizes run pretty true.
February 19, 2018 at 8:04 pm #1753623I took the rail and seat out of my pro cottage and now sit on a bucket inside shanty. Gives me plenty of room to fish 2 32″ rods. I’m 6’1′. Gives me a lot more storage room also. If I am going for a long outing I have a little directors chair that I will bring along and sit on. Also save a lot of weight taking seat and rail out.
February 7, 2018 at 11:13 pm #1750727I have the helix 7 G2N. I run the Dakota lithium battery and have used it 9+ hours and was at 12.2 to 12.4 volts. Mostly in shanty and probably couple hours out hole hopping. I have not experienced any lag from this unit.
Yes you will need a different charger for the Dakota lithium batteryJanuary 18, 2018 at 10:05 pm #1745525I used line that I had laying around. 6# trilene XT mono for a backer then 8# suffix 832 braid (non ice) to 8# Pline Floroclear leader. I have another one rigged up same way but with 6# Pline Floroclear leader.
fishing for walleyeJanuary 17, 2018 at 2:09 am #1744959how are you planning on mounting your hitch? it looks like the skirt goes all the way to the ice on both sides. I have not seen one in person yet. It seems like you would have to undo your hitch once you get to your spot so you would not have a draft coming through
December 9, 2017 at 3:15 pm #1734225Looks like a great tool to use. Only problem it’s not runnable on a Mac. There are a lot of people that use Mac and not windows. Should be supported on both platforms.
I have a Mac and what you can do is split your hard drive up to run windows also. The only thing i am using windows for is my Humminbird Autochart data
