    Mann4ducks,
Here are some more photos. The bottom of mine is 56” from the rafter. I have 60” clearance then to the ground. If you had shorter straps with loops on both ends, you could get a few extra inches higher on the lift. I used the stock straps.

I would note, there bike models and kayak models at Fleet Farm. I think the only difference is the additional straps for hugging the kayak whereas the bike model only has the hooks. Hooks-only would make it very tough to raise and lower.

Let me know if u need more pics.

These pics aren’t the best, but I used the same kayak hoist as MNFishnGuy.

One suggestion is to attach a strap connecting the 2 main straps underneath the sled. This could prevent one side from slipping off the end should one end get uneven during the lifting/lowering process.

I made a smitty sled extra wide to hold my Eskimo, medium otter and auger. This is a prototype but it worked pretty good. I may try a narrow version with a PVC rack to hold the hub above the otter. Not sure if narrower will pull better but this was not bad. That will be a summer project. Hope this helps with ideas.

Im not sure if this applies to the Ceymars, but I just bought some Okuma Avengers BF’s and I put the 500 & 1000 side by side and the body size seemed identical. The spool was smaller on the 500 so I chose the 1000. I’d rather have higher line capacity with everything else being equal. Caught pike on it on Friday combined with Finicky Fooler. It was everything I hoped it would be. Very happy with both. I was set to order the 500 sight unseen and I’m glad I did the comparison.

Do you guys with Siennas have any issue with the smooth handle knob? I tried it at Cabela’s and it felt very slippery. Worried about it being worse in cold weather. Considered those rubber knob covers if I purchased.

If you have a Fleet Farm near you, they were just on sale.
