So, I’m a little jaded on boat names. What would you name yours?

Because you can’t sell dishwasher detergent if people are not using the dishwasher…
Simply observe who is paying for the add to tell you to use the dishwasher vs hand washing.

I’m not sure who leaves the water running the whole time dishes are being hand-washed like the commercials show and say, but they are not intelligent.

I’m actually putting together the tribal harvest totals for the last decade now. It’s not much usually between 1000-2000 pounds.

So we are supposed to believe your numbers when you claim the tribal harvest totals are only 1,000 to 2,000 pounds???
    What a crock of $HIT!!!

For myself, the most comfortable and best concealing has been the Crossbreed Minituck.
I’m not a large frame gun user, G43 is my go to.
But in summer with shorts and T shirt, I will often steal my wife’s G42 with a minituck horsehide, very comfortable and well hidden.
It does take several weeks to months in order to work the leather into softness and comfort.
This would be a hip only option. They do make some others that apparently can be appendix but I don’t carry that way so I do not have a dog in that fight.

    Devils advocate here…

What are you going to do when your reach into your pocket and grab a dim rechargeable headlamp? Its not like you can put in new AAA batteries and be on your way.

My solution is tape 3 AAA batteries together and keep them in jacket pockets, go-bags and vehicles. If I find un-taped batteries in a pocket or vehicle I know they are dead and to throw them away.

    Different strokes for different folks.

It is common for there to be a bushing or block inside tube, espicially aluminum, so that the box frame does not collapse when a bolt is tightened. My guess is that the bolt has galvanic corrosion between the dissimilar metals.
I am fighting a similar issue currently on an aluminum fish house.

Thats great news but it should be cut to like $1,000 total.

That crap all started in the 90s, eurasian milfoil was going to ruin every lake in MN.
I’m still waiting for that and I can’t fathom how much money has been wasted.

I just got into icefishing and starting at the bottom and slowly gonna work my way up

About the most down to earth thing Ive read in a long time. Great attitude about it, run what ya brung and work with what you have.
All too often people buy too expensive trying to keep up with the Jones’ and dont have time to use it because they have to work to make all their payments.
We lived years just fine and happy with non-insulated canvas, caught limits and lived to tell about it.

So from now on rather than everyone saying to run seafoam in it or to use non-oxy premium or any other worthless advice…
We can just go with, check your plug wire.

I’ve been waiting since 1987 for milfoil to destroy all fishing.

I have a hunch when I’m 70 I will still be waiting for AIS, CWD and milfoil to ruin everything…

I’m getting “flamed” on FB from a few guys because “the owner’s manual” says you can’t do this.

Make sure to let the FB safety police know that it only works when you run dark green refilled 1# propane tanks with the tip over switch bypassed…

I had one that would not shut off, I had to pull the battery to kill it. I took it apart and found 1/4″ dia metal slugs from punching holes in the handles during MFG that were left inside the tubing and wedged between the switch and tube wall.

I would not be surprised if the cold caused a contraction of either plastic in the battery, battery clip, wire jacket or switch that prevented an electrical connection from being made.

The dippers are the way to go.
    They float.
If they ice up you can whack it on your boot.

I began making them as a school project about 15 years ago.
My son is actually with me today building another.

I have 2 seats, 2 brackets and the alum bar.
Mine are/is from a Lodge so the bar would not work for you as I think the resort has the good aluminum bars for each seat and perhaps not even the plastic attachments the seat fits onto???
I know all is or may not be usable to you but maybe you want to keep and use the seats only and deal with selling the rest.
I would sell it all for $100, Pick up in Two Harbors, MN.

Do you guys make your own rack to attach to the Buddy heater. I just got a new Buddy heater and was thinking about getting a baking rack and cutting/bending it to make it easy to attach to the grate on the heater.

Some people use a paint roller rack (found in paint dept at menards and such)
I used a wire shelving rack and cut/bent. They are a bit heavier duty and can be found in shelving dept at menards and such.

knockoff carb and oil pump on Amazon are $16 and $8.
I’ve used these knockoffs as a whole and also parts and they have been good for me. Easy jobs to replace those parts.

    Deep cycle boat/RV batteries.
    Watch this video.
The initial start up draws like 10 amps and normal run amp draw is about 2 amps if I recall. Your results are normal for what you used and Im actually surprised it ran that long to be honest considering the start up for the glow plug draw.

The boy handled the tree this year from cutting it down to decorating.
Secondly, I was out last Friday and come into school this morning with the shop being decorated by my students last Friday.

RR or Buck really depends on the physical size of the child.
I initially bought the RR for my son but realized it was too large and bought the buck. It is nice now having 2 (big and small) as now neighbor kids and nieces/nephews can use them.

No age is too young to start them out, just embed the safety into them.
The BBs do bounce back as they are hard steel so do wear eyes.

Maybe buy one of each of find a buddy with one and borrow to fit?

    If removing often go Aluminum.
If you want it dry make sure the topper is not just a sit on the bed rails but it wraps past.
J hooks are better that those junky clamps.
I added backer plates and 4 boat bow eyes to the top of my fiberglass topper and use a block and tackle to remove it, its fairly easy but another person or machine sure helps.

We began our son at 5 on a ttr50e.
If she is physically big enough for the 4stroke series the electric start is sure nice for kids, especially when a carbed bike floods the engine on a dump.

All of the kids bikes have a throttle limiter screw.
Shifting is really not a big issue as you start the 50cc strokers in any gear till kids get shifting down.

I would stick with name brands over the Chinese knock off brands, name brands will hold their value, and parts are easy to find, especially plastics when they wreck.
I highly suggest dad get a bike too as kids at age of 6 can be on the trails on OHM vs I think 10yo on an ATV.

Hope to see you at the Theilman ride one of these years!
