13 fishing freefall is a gamechanger ive had one for 2 years just got another one the speed at which you can change depths you cant do as fast with a spinning reel the trigger is way to convenient ive never tried a standard spooer seel but seems like pulling it off the reel would be a pain

If u need a little protection in ur soft rod case i use golf club bag club tube dividers they come in 6 or 12 pack on ebay cheap the ends are rounded off they are black plastic and come long enough to fit long rods i use um on my 46 inch sturgeon rods with tiny bungee cords on the end around the reels to hold um on

Yes 100 percent agree and not to judge but its usually the guys in the brand new nitros and rangers and skeeters that go upstream with it trimmed up making tuna boat size waves thinking they are being nice by going slow……

I use 500 size reels dont fold them down and my 13 fishing freefall also fits great..little tip get some black golf club bag tubes electrical tape the ends shut and zip tie them to the foam inside it keeps the rods from tangling plus if u have 36 inch rods it will keep u from shutting the case on the tips that gets spendy when u got a bunch of TUCRs in there
