Well i decided to fish today. Caught enough to keep me busy. 2 legals that i decided to let go because i didn’t want to clean them. Fished from 26 up to stink pipe. Wind was horrible, made boat positioning tough. Oh well, better than working.

debating on leaving to fish right now. just not sure of launching by myself

Long time, no talk. Fished the fox up in depere yesterday. Caught a lot of nice fish. Might get out on the rock this weekend. Looking to put a couple eaters in the boat. What boat did you get this time Jeff? Sorry to hear about your fellow co-worker a few weeks back. I remember seeing that on the news. See you guys on the water.

i have had a pretty good year, actually one of my best ever. i’m actually looking forward to the high water bite in a few weeks. leave for vegas on wed. then its time to fish!!

still a lund. i went to the 18 pro angler tiller with a 90 yamaha and t8 kicker. i don’t move as fast as my other boat but i have a ton of room. every goodie you can think of on it. i will post a pic later. also went to a diesel truck, great gas mileage for a huge truck and more towing power than i’ll ever need. i had to get my new toys before the baby comes in october!!

ya your probably right, with the high water you know where i will be fishing in a few weeks.

i figured you would have planned to have the boat in time for spring. did you have a hard time selling your old one?

the limit is only one fish over 28 inches and if you could keep and eat them, i wouldn’t, nor recommend it. actually i don’t think we caught a walleye under 20 inches anyways. this has got to be the best walleye fishery in the midwest, if size and action is what your looking for.
all these pigs were caught on cranks in 4 to 6 feet of water. it was a blast.

also fished yesterday from 7 til noon. we had 2 keepers and about 50 small males. fishery should be excellent in the next couple years. same baits as everyone else except the 2 keepers were caught on 3″ kalins.

decided to fish lake michigan today and and went 5 for 6. all fish between 8 and 12 pounds. curious to see any reports from the rock today. would have rather fished walleyes but no one wanted to.

glad to see the rivers open. fished pool 4 for the first time last thur. and fri. and did quite well. i just wanted to thank dean for some helpful tips and pointing out some spots. i will definately be back soon. the spot down river gave up a nice 25 inch eye but only got it on the camcorder, not the digital. thanks again dean and see ya soon!!

not that i was complaining but i was looking for the action to be a little better. 8 feet or less, near gravel bottom or wood. seemed that lindy rig with 18 inch leader picked up the most fish. i think with the cold we had last week they wanted the bait right in front of there face for a while.
heading out right now for the afternoon to see what happens. will post a report later..

fished today from 12 to 4. tough bite but managed 4 keepers. water temp at 35. seems like they got lock jaw. might give it a whirl tomorrow. only boat on the whole river.

well, its been a long time since i have been able to post a report but that doesn’t mean i have not been fishing.
fished last week thursday and was able to scratch up some nice eyes, with about 15 shorts. i wasn’t able to really dial in a pattern on what to use but depth was important. 7-10 feet = fish, anything else seemed like a waste of time. dark blue jig was my choice but everything else worked too. nothing on plastics. will be out this thursday and depending on weather maybe this weekend as my freezer is already full of venison.
