    Hi Dave,
That sounds like a fun time, this might go over good in my area. How many boats do you get and how long have you been doing this?

The fishing is very good at Pleasant Creek, 9″ perch and some good eyes in the early morning. Bass bitting but all sublegals. Best depth is 28′

I believe the circle hooks are better in catching and returning the fish. I don’t have to dig the hook out, always in the top of the mouth.

Thanks Rick for the feed back, for those views and did’nt know there is 7-8in” of ice seemed to be good in the area.I had the opportunity to take a good friend from England thats here for the Holidays fishing today. Just a note England in his area seldom gets ice of any kind so he was a little skeptical on what to expect. As we moved across the ice I explained the cracking was the ice expanding so not to worry. Setting him up with short rods was quit funny for someone use to fishing with the 12′ plus European poles as they say.The bite was slow at first but as the morning went on he caught on. We sorted through and kept 5 crappies 10 to 11.5in” 3 perch 11.5″ and 35 bluegills that ranged from 7.5 to 8.5in”. Needless to say he had a great time fishing our good waters. Hope my report helps and save some for seed.

    Zim,

Water is rough at times, but can be very good fishing. Kreading had some good points on local water, I fish the lake alot and catch good fish in the fall in the 8lb class. Summer time is tough because of the large party boats. Have to get out there early. Has some excellent crappie fishing also. Don’t forget about lake Mc Bride, water is now 6′ low because of structure addition. This lake has very good walleye and saugeye in it but please practice cpr. Hope this helps and save some for seed. Randy
