Looks like some ice making weather is forecasted for next week. I sure hope it doesn’t get postponed. I’ll be in Florida February 8th.

I’ve got the micro plus and like it. Don’t use it often, but operation is simple, no issues seeing the screen and it’s definitely pocket size and the reason I bought it. No experiene with the Marcum or a 5” camera in general.

Check out expeditionoutdoors.com. They have a few soft cases. I’ve got the backpack and am pretty happy with it. Converts to just a case too.

At 8 ft. max depth I would suggest the HT Enterprises Tightline Fly Reel (TLS-34). I see them on sale at Farm and Fleet for 14.99 all the time; but think full price is only 19.99. I have the Eagle Claw too and not happy with it. Drag stinks. Always use the TLS-34 in shallow water.

Can’t speak about Devils Lake, but I too use the boating app. Does well on the lakes by me.

Quite happy with my ICE 35. No issues at all the last four or five years.

They have a chart on their website that gives a great visual to what the rods can do.

This will be my first year fishing the contest. Staying at the Quarterdeck resort. Very excited. Looks like a fun day.

Check out expeditionoutdoors.com for the rigid frame ice rod case – 45″. Cabelas sells the 36″ version and it gets good reviews. I have the ice pack soft case and very happy with that product.

Check online at wingsupply.com, marinegeneral.com and reeds family sports. for the Frabill I and float series. Limited on some sizes, but prices are good if they have your size. Suggest one size up for frabill as well. I’m a large and while my I3 bibs do fit, the xlarge fits better.

DH Perch Pounder, TUCR Commander, 13 6061 inline, Okuma Avenger and the best of all…….2 holes for the 2018 Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza! First time fishing it. Oh yeah, staying at Quarterdeck Resort while there.

I like the Eagle Claw with the exception of the drag. Drag adjustability sucks. Very happy with the HT inline reel for shallow water (<20ft) panfishing. It is simple and functional. Drag adjustability is pretty good.
