I think I would enjoy sports more if it wasn’t for all of the networks beating to death each week different drama within each organization. “Someone said this, someone did that.” Sports used to be about the game, but since drama fuels everything media related, it seems it’s never truly about the game anymore, just the drama off of the field/court.

James – Happy to hear you’re back, but above all, your health is priority number one. On behalf of all anglers that watch your show, thank you so much for your effort each week, but sometimes you have to put that devotion aside to heal yourself. Grateful to hear you’re on the up-and-up!!

I probably need to knock on wood here, but I haven’t been bitten off yet with using the 15lb braid by pike or musky. I mainly fish stained water so that too favors a braid instead of fluorocarbon as well due to poor visability. It’s a nice thin diameter and the minnnow can do it’s thing pretty easily with it on there. People do make the argument that braid freezes quickly after you pull a fish out, but to me it’s no different than the rest of the heavier braid (main tip-up line) freezing as well. Once it’s back in the water everything goes slack again and you’re back fishing.

Good luck to all of you!! Stay Safe

What are your thoughts on braided line for a leader? I’ve used braid (15lb) for walleye setups and have had limited issues with it.

Plenty of former Brewers with some rings though. I believe the Kansas City Royals had 4 players and 2 coaches when they won it last year. Sadly the Brewers have never had a shortage of talent, but they just can’t be consistent enough to get over the proverbial hump from year to year. Always seem to be a step behind the Cardinals and now behind the Cubs franchise as well.

We still have Badger football and basketball though.

    Dear Ice Fishing Gods –

If you could find it in your hearts to cool our beloved Wisconsin landscape down so we may venture onto the ice rather than watching the Packers, that would be great.

    Good Morning –

For a show idea for the big crappie lover in you, perhaps give the WIllow Flowage a try in Oneida County, Wisconsin. With that in mind, do you fish a flowage different than a lake?? What sort of things are you looking for to establish a good crappie location/bite? I’ve mainly stuck to deep water basins, but I’m always open to some new tactic.

This “death by walleye” was found floating on the Willow Flowage in Hazlehurst, WI., by some friends during the 2016 fishing opener. It was a tad smelly at the time so they snapped a quick photo and threw it back. They figured the walleye was in the lower 20’s and the pike measured 38 inches.
