The Showdown Troller 2.0 is the best unit on the market for the money. Marcum customer service is the best I have ever dealt with I bought the Troller when it first year it came out and the buttons didn’t work all the time so sent it in like three time in 2 year and I got upgraded to a 2.0 for free.

I have the frabill 101 and love it the only bad part is there is no free spool on it. the reel is super smooth. I think I can get that rod down faster than all my spinning rod.

I was out one day and 2 hours before sunset I lost my jig and then the bottom got all messed up and I thought it was the unit so I checked the battery and 5% left. I was lucky that I brought my underwater camera and toke that battery and was good. So now the camera comes all the time.

last year mine would run for a little bit then shut off so we toke it in to a small engine place and the gas line had a hairline crack

I’m lucky that my best friend wants to go as much as me and me brother always goes so I always have someone to go with. If someone never called/text to tell me that they weren’t going. that would be the last time they went with me.

I have the leather gloves and use them to drill all my holes and sometimes when hole hopping but they seem to soak up water but when im hole hopping and setting my gloves in the wet snow nothing beats the frabills.

I would go to fleet farm or a store that sold them and try them on. I have ice armor task force and frabill and the frabills are a little smaller than those. Hope this helps.

I would look at the frabill task force gloves. Super warm and 100% waterproof. They are nice and not bulky at all.

I would go with the showdown. I have the troller 2.0 and love it. It not the same unit but same concept never had a problem with it and you will love the zoom. I have friends that use the showdown 5.6 and never heard a problem. We can fish 2 feet apart and no interference.

I use the clam boxes. The one I really like is the small with the foam for the jigs on one side and the slots with the cover on the other side for soft plastics.

This year im going to try to fish spots that nobody has fished and be the first to hit the bite first. I also want to start target the trophy bluegills and crappies, and the most important thing is to get someone new in to the sport and teach them what i know so they can be successful .

I cant see spending that much so I bought a big hard case for guns and I can get like 8 combos in it and I just picked up another because that one was full. last year when I was ice fishing it fell out when driving on the ice road and none of the rods moved.

I have a magnum and run the oil that has the strikemaster logo mixed with 1 gallon of 91 octane and runs like a dream. At first it will smoke a little until it warms up but other wise no black stuff out of the muffler.

I love these jigs I bought some last year and broke the 5 I got off on fish. Match these with ratso tail and these are killer on gills and slab crappies.
