What part is technically incorrect? I stated that the person I spoke with said you did not need the RABC on the rainy river while navigating from spot a to spot b- like non fishing.

You stated you have never needed it…yes I agree if your not planning on fishing the canadian side.

Since it seems that it is always up to interpretation or discretion of the officer-and there are mixed opinions on the matter. I am always going to purchase it, and then not have to worry about anything. Fish are biting on the MN side, great I will fish there. Too crowded on the MN side? Great I’ll switch sides.

I called Canada on Monday- as my passport expired this past November. I inquired as to whether or not I was still required to buy a RABC to fish the Canadian side of the rainy river. They told me that yes I still need it to fish their side. He mentioned that you don’t need it if you are only passing through while going from fishing spot a to spot b. That was my experience on Monday. I am not sure why there are so many mixed reports on whether or not it is needed. After I got off the phone, I sent in my application for the RABC, and I will buy the Ontario fishing license online as well.

what are you looking to target? Bass will be along rock shorelines, pads…
    Walleyes…guessing game.
Crappies over deep wood, or rock piles…

Good Luck! I haven’t been on the lake at all this year.

    7.99 a month for 24 months = 190 bucks…then what is the deductible?
…and I thought it went up for the higher end smart phones to around 15.00 a month, and 200 deductible for the iphone on verizon…

cheaper for me to get the square trade warranty…only thing they will not cover is loss, but with find my iphone…I really don’t worry about loosing it…
My SIII crashed for the first time…less than a week old?!?!

I have an iphone, and currently have an SIII…I have went through multiple droids…multiple droid 2’s..multiple droid x’s…etc etc..
I have had one iphone…it works. The SIII is pleasing, however, if it slows and sputters like every other droid…it will be just another droid..

Are these water proof? Thinking it would make a good early and late season open water suit.

Perfect thinking! I actually use mine on the ice when the temps are above thirty!

BFT blade baits….gold, or pink, or orange…suffix 832.

Stained water, line color doesn’t matter in my opinion.

droid x is built tuff, kevlar or something and gorilla glass. However if you buy an otter case for any smart phone…it will last a long long long time.

Looking for some basic lures and colors that I can buy to get started ice fishing. Have been watching ido tv and reading about the quality products custom jigs and spoons puts out (slender spoons, lightning spoons) but what colors and sizes would you suggest for targeting walleyes with those lures or what other lures would you suggest for a newbie? Thanks for your help ahead of time.

colors blue/silver red/silver in slender spoon 1/8 and 1/4 ounce.

black silver foil/ blue silver foil in 1/8 are my go to’s.

However, that is because they best match my forage base.
Match up colors with the fish that your walleyes are feeding with, and then go from there!

I can’t believe people use $200 reels for ice fishing. Had no idea.

My guess is he already owns them for use on summer rods and they serve double duty on walleye rods in the winter.

Thats what I do…Use the reels all year round. My highest end thorne bros walleye rod gets the sustain. I know of a ice fisherman that has twelve stellas on his ice rods, and they never come off the ice rods…

I have given up trying to get the minnow smell out of all my snosuit pockets… Great tip…
I used to use the bait pucks … But I find it quicker to just grab out of the pocket.

Palo outdoors carries the products!! Gander carries the custom jigs and spins, as well as schools…don’t believe the last two carry BFT though.

I would recommend for you the Frabill Icesuit, which is black, or the the Frabill Suit, which is gray, if you don’t mind layering.
