    In response to rmartin:

If most people “took it” as you state.
It comes across as though you are basically stating something to the effect of “most people assumed the wall would be paid for in cash by Mexico.”

My opinion about “the people” who try to claim the statement about “Mexico paying for the wall” are being ridiculous in thinking that comment was really just as simple as going out and buying a .99 candy bar.

Did these “people” you speak of place any value whatsoever on the contraband, black market items, illegal drugs and plenty of other stuff that was trying to be stopped from crossing the border?

Some people seem to think a wall would be nothing more than an expense with zero other impacts on the economy.

The first picture is a 40 or 50 amp circuit breaker. I don’t believe it’s main intended purpose was to be used as an on-off power disconnect switch.

I believe the size 25/30 reels from some manufacturers are the same physical size with only the spools being slightly different.

I think a size 25 reel is just a bit too small for a 7′ rod.

Alder is going to give the “traditional” smoked fish flavor.
I would use alder way before any other wood.

Apple, cherry, alder or any combination of the 3 would be tasty also.
Those 3 seem to mix well.

These list do matter to our youth.

It’s a sad day when people turn their heads and ignore this b.s.

I cannot comment further without stating facts that are just plain nasty.

Lol well at least it only took a week to dramatically improve conditions.

I was nearly tricked into thinking that this drought was a real concern.

Seems like a normal up and down weather pattern to me.

It’s unfortunate we didn’t get the full 30″ of snow that some of the weather terrorists were talking about.

Correct me if wrong, but that last snowfall of approximately 15″ only had about 1″ of moisture content.

And that rainstorm was .8″ ?

I build rods for using them, not so much for the looks.

I no longer have steady enough hands to wrap the thread smoothly and make a perfectly tied guide.

So for beginners don’t necessarily feel like you have to make perfect ties over your guides. It is possible to just run the thread back and forth hastily and tie a rod extremely fast.

When I tie a guide on, I have no choice but to overlap the thread. When the ties are epoxied it’s not much of any issue.

I will even use 2-3 pieces of thread at a time to tie guides. I like to use a single strand of regular thread with another strand of the 2 color mylar thread, for a total of 3 pieces of thread. It’s much easier tying guides when you have a 3 ply piece of thread. Tying this way will result in a lot of thread twisting but it’s really a non issue.

The weight doesn’t bother me but since the ties are a bit rougher, it does take a bit more epoxy to get full coverage.

I’m sure the custom rod builders will get a laugh out of this but will also confirm it will work.

Obviously this technique isn’t ideal if you are using expensive, higher end components.

Another time saver for ice rods, repairs or when your in a hurry. Plenty of times I have used regular 5 minute epoxy instead of 24 hour rod coat to get me back on the water fast.

    Good luck with your build.

Again FACTS HURT when you make accusations.

you mean accusations like the ones made by the election deniers?
    [/quote

No I mean accusations directly in reference to what we were just previously discussing.

I am sorry, you lost me with the direction of that questioning which factually had nothing to do with what this discussion was about.

Wow, a volunteer taps on a form and causes a voters brain to respond with “oh that’s who I vote for”. I realize years of trump lies have corrupted a lot more brains then this lady did. Why don’t you volunteer to work elections if your so concerned. This site has too often turned from fishing to politics, the owner should be ashamed, but of course he is a trump supporter and allows election conspiracy cranks space.

Fail because you said “taps on a form” and that has nothing to do with it…The incident was only noticed because it was multiple taps on multiple ballots. So your words are null. Your points aren’t even valid in this situation.
    FACTS HURT

You claim someone is a supporter of someone. Ummmm…how do you know they didn’t change their views overnight since you talked to them last? Again FACTS HURT when you make accusations.

Congrats on your temper tantrum and thanks for saving America from the 125 year old volunteer. There’s no telling how many votes went to the blue guy before you showed up as I’m sure untold thousands that had every intent on voting red automatically switched after receiving their instructions from this criminal.

I guess you FAIL to realize the temper tantrum has nothing to do with the wrong doing.

I guess you FAIL to realize the age of the lady doesn’t matter.

I guess you FAIL to realize it doesn’t matter how many votes weren’t impacted by this wrongdoing.

I guess you FAIL to realize it doesn’t matter if the votes went red to blue or vice versa.

I guess you FAILED at just about everything you said.

you did however say “CRIMINAL” at the very last word so maybe…just maybe you are understanding. No fail there, that’s where I start giving you credit.

Ever realize in life you don’t have to explain yourself to smart people??

Don’t worry about it b man because…YOU DID THE RIGHT THING.
Regardless of any intentional behavior, that ballot is sacred, keep your damn hands off it lady, don’t make any gestures at all in regards to other peoples ballots. Why is that hard for some to realize??

Edit: thought about it overnight and anyone who thinks it’s ok to suggestively touch, tap or make any action at all to another person’s ballot obviously isn’t very smart?? Hope it’s ok to point that obvious fact out.

This has nothing to do with the old lady, nothing to do with being paranoid. It has to do with an activity that should be illegal and probably is.

There is a spot on top of the ballot to show examples of how to properly vote. I would think it’s policy for officials to only use that designated area when providing assistance?? Or do we throw policy out the window on voting day?

As already mentioned, great example for your kids to stand up against this. So many people would just tolerate it and take a back seat.

So many people would just ignore/hide the incident and teach their kids to have a weak, little old me in the corner approach to the situation.

Definitely not normal lol. I would however fish every single day of my life if I could afford it. Far from normal behavior haha.
I was a light sleeper since I was 2 years old, just so dad couldn’t slip out on me, and thats a fact lol.
Anyone ever pull the “oh I just had a bite, we have to stay longer” trick? make sure to rip the minner off the hook for effect once in a while. Grew up in the bottom of a boat, not the greatest sleep with walleye goo running everywhere!!

Its crazy how the miserable fishing times are sometimes what made me stay longer. Sometimes days on end till it clicked and then it was game over, we quit once we finally beat up on the fish a bit. Come back another day and give the fish a chance. Good topic.

“Makes you wonder how much this plays a part in events like this”

Care to elaborate on how much time you have spent wondering?

If you are wondering too much just relax and take it easy. If you are drawing a connection between the 2, than it’s just your personal, inner feelings hard at work.

Instead devote some time to a “hammer safety” program so we can all be safe!!

I don’t feel bad for the Pelosi family. They have built their entire empire of wealth on the taxpayer dime through insider trading, all while making a full career pushing 2A infringement. Never let a good tragedy go to waste right? You’ll see new bills passed allowing for extra taxpayer funded security for senators.

I would not handle things this way, but imo politicians who consistently tread on public rights should in fact fear the public.

Hmmm, does that include the election deniers running for office ?

    Yes Stacy Abrams counts

Awesome idea. Just have to add another to the stern light for netting fish. Could also make the light swivel so it could shine 360*. You definitely want the light solid and able to lock or the wave action will be a major issue imo.

Outboard manufacturers should probably start throwing on some hi intensity, recessed lights that shine to the sides and rear of the motor with the flip of a switch. You should rig up a few more sets of lights and report back.

    Too dang funny how
Liberals can be picked out miles away. They have hundreds of silly little antics that just immediately gives them away. The way they support the current administration has such a cry baby ring to it. At this point it has gotten hilarious to hear them whimper how the big guy doesn’t directly impact energy and food prices.

I can promise you that a responsible acting administration would have energy costs under control. The proof will be in the energy numbers very soon once bumbling is out of office.

Haha good one. Apparently supply and demand only works 1 way.

By program I meant to be 100%+ energy independent. Maybe even sell a bit to help make things great for all.

What exactly are you suggesting? Are you suggesting that the government have total control over our energy sales and production? How exactly to you tell an oil giant who they can sell their oil to?

BTW, the US has been exporting more oil than its been importing for a couple years now.

Wait a minute now. You have converted me to a liberal. I don’t take questions any longer buddy.

I don’t need to look up anything.

Gasoline was under $1 per gallon during the Trump administration. It wasn’t under $1 for the yearly average but it surely was for a month or better.

    Fact.

Well to be fair and give credit where it’s past due. Gasoline was less than a buck just a couple short years ago.

If we would have kept that program going it would probably be around .79/gallon now.

    Oh well
