For the Nils guys that are having a wobble issue, I would recommend turning the auger a half turn in the adapter and try it that way if you haven’t. To get mine to run true I had to attach the auger to the adapter with the round side of shaft facing the bolt and the flat side against the adapter. Also be sure to wiggle the shaft as you snug up the bolt to make sure the flats of the shaft seats square against the adapter.
Kahtoola’s work fine on bare ice, the only negative is they do make a fair amount of noise when walking–can’t be stealthy, also might be a problem in a suitcase type house with a plastic floor?
I’ve got the black ones, but I painted a couple of them white the other year to try it out and I’d say the white brightens the hole & makes it a little easier to see the float. Haven’t seen a glow one in action, might be intresting.
