After a cancelled day yesterday ( Not sure why. I’m told the forecaster they used for weather was way off in the wind speed ) They are up and running on Leech lake today. From Basstrak it looks like some really decent bags of fish are being recorded. It will be interesting to see how much the SM are playing a roll on Leech.

There was also a storm that rolled through in the morning too, not just wind. But overall it does seem that the wind wasn’t quite as bad as they anticipated.

It was a nice walleye chop thursday morning

Something like this I’d use my Amex card. Valid disputes are easy to recitify through them

We have had an accurate for a number of years. Pretty happy with it. Still using the same solar charged batteries to communicate with the indoor base display. The rain gauge self empties. What you need to do is glue a few 5” pieces of 80 lb mono vertically around the edges of the rain gauge to deter birds perching and then dropping seeds and poo into the rain gauge

I left the dock without the plug in……once. I never forget to check anymore.

I can see it happening. A few years ago I flew out of bemidji. Used my boat bag as a carry on. I had a leatherman and filet knife in it, unknown to me…..didn’t check it. TSA found it, said “no problem, did you check a bag”? They found my bag and put the knives in there. I’m pretty sure if I was at MSP I’d be questioned in a room. I check my bag now before I fly. It was an honest mistake

I recall reading several books that talk of the Ojibwa and dakotas fighting over land. Sounds like ownership squabbles to me.

We’ve had good luck with REI and WALRUS brands. Back in the day we got the wife’s Girl Scout troop 4 REI dome tents. They used the heck out of them with no problems. Just seam seal whatever you get if it’s no factory taped

If you need to tap into a threaded gas line you can get a left/right coupler and nipple to hook in a tee. You will need the appropriate sized die set to thread the line you cut into

Back in the day, partying hard at a campsite, looked down to see a skunk at my feet. Got real quiet and still till it moved on.

Crazy prices.I have a 3d printer I’m going to try doing crankbaits on. I’m guessing tuning might be an issue. We will see.

Give the whole state back to the tribes. Could they really do any worse than our current leaders?

Have you never visited some of the reservations like Red Lake?

My thoughts too. The land will be trashed just like the reservations are.

Did my 100 2 years ago. Line up the timing marks correctly, swap out the belt and tensioner. The hardest part was the fly wheel and that was easy with a puller and a whack with a hammer

Currently play about 3x a week. Mostly Tianna up in Walker, also Longbow and Headwaters. Looking At planning a trip to the Biwabik area, Giants Ridge, then up to Superior National next year.

Most golf cart batteries are 6 volt, some are 8 volt. I haven’t seen 12’s in a GC. They may exist though

The prices boggle my mind, to pay that much for 2-3 hrs of music. I get inflation, Ticketmaster monopoly etc but…..come on! I took my GF, now wife to the Eagles and Marshall Tucker in 75 for five bucks.then we saw them in the early mid 2000’s. $200 bucks a ticket. Nothing gets less expensive that’s for sure

The only problem I have with tournaments in general is how the contestants treat other fisherman that aren’t in the tournament.
