Oh, I hear you, but some relief from needing to be held 20 hours a day and crying from 2:00-6:00 am is much needed!

Our 11 month is just starting to sleep through the night. What finally worked for us was a book called Healthly Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weissbluth. The bottom line is to let them learn how to soothe themselves. Our boy was colicky from 1-4 months and needed to held all the time. He learned to cry until we picked him up. This meant lots of sleepless nights although he seemed to be happy during the day.

It took exactly 2 nights of us letting him cry himself back to sleep in the middle of the night for him to figure it out. People that have done he same thing say it’s hard to do this, but I had hope that it would work, so it wasn’t too bad. He’s been sleeping through the night on his own ever since, about 6 weeks.

The same goes for naps. Put them in the crib and walk away. If they wake up from their nap mad, stay away. Chances are they’re still tired and will fall back to sleep. Only get them when they wake up happy, which means they are rested.

    Good luck!

What is the purpose of the laptop?

She will be doing some digital photo editing, but mostly just standard home use. Nothing too draining.

It’s probably too far for you, but there is a class in Mora, MN that runs on Wednesday nights from the first week of January through March. You order the components the first week and build a rod at your own pace. All other supplies are provided. I am one of the instructors, so feel free to ask me any questions. It is a great introduction to the hobby. You can take what you learn to build your own.

There are a lot of great rod builders on this site and a wealth of knowledge to tap into.

Yep. Got them both. Sawbill Lake on July 11th and Mudro Lake on July 31st!

my question is can you get larger boxes on newer crew cabs these days?

Until the 2013/2014 model year, 1/2 ton crew cabs were only available with the short 5.5′ box.

    I believe the 3/4 ton crew cabs have always had a 6.5′ box. I have a 2007 Silverado 2500HD with a 6.5′ box.

Sears is terrible when it comes to anything online. They are a distributor as mentioned above and you’ll have one heck of a time dealing with returns and refunds if there is a problem… and there will be a problem.

The last two times I’ve ordered online from Sears, I’ve had a problem. The first was a product that became backordered after I placed the order. It was not coming directly from Sears, so they were only the middle man in the refund conversations. It took about 6 weeks to finally get a refund. The second (and last) time was two weeks ago. My wife ordered some pajamas for our kids. The items were coming directly from Sears so I gave it a shot. Surprisingly, we received the items in a reasonable amount of time. The only problem was that the 2-piece pajama set for my daughter was missing the bottoms.

Bottom line, I’ll never order from Sears again. Chances are I won’t get the opportunity since they might be folding up shop as it is.

make up one of those buckets with anti freeze, drill dowel sized hole in each side, dowel through the holes, put peanut butter on the middle of the dowel. Have some sort of walkway up the side of the pail and you will have pickled mice all winter.

I’m guessing water would be just as effective. Chances are the mice will drown in the antifreeze before they’re able to digest it.

You will need a digital converter box. The antenna only boosts your reception. It does not convert it.

It looks like Walmart and Amazon are a couple of options.

Hey Dave, if it is a Smart TV can’t you just download it right to your TV without using your phone?

Only if it’s from one of the built-in Apps: Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, Amazon Instant Video, etc.

It is a smart TV, but it does not have a built-in browser… which I guess would be another complaint of mine. If the TV is connected to your home’s wifi, why can’t it have a built in browser?

That’s about $100 off of the regular Walmart price. I bought the exact same TV from Walmart last year on Black Friday for $698 and it has been a great TV for us.

I am considering a 42″ Vizio for our bedroom and will most likely wait to see if there is a Black Friday deal this year as well.

I researched the TV before I bought last year and the only complaint I’ve heard regarding Vizios is that they take a few seconds to fire up once you hit the power button. The light comes on immediately, but the picture and sound are delayed. You get used to and it and has never caused us to have second thoughts on buying another.

    Check out http://www.landwatch.com/

I’ve been trying to find bigger parcels of land north of metro, but I did a quick search for Lino Lakes and found some buildable lots available.

Lived in Gage my freshman year, 99-00. The rooms were bad, but the scenery was nice!

    How about footware, suggestions?

I only bring a pair of standard Keens (Keen Newport Sandal).

You can walk in the water and not worry about drying out my shoes at night. The traction is good for portaging as well. I’ve got 3 years and 6 trips on my current pair. And I wear them almost exclusively in the summer.

For tackle, I always have a few daredevils, rapalas and jigs and plastics. Walleyes, pike and bass will all bite these. Don’t forget a stringer!

My Cabelas Guidewear has to be at least 10 years old. It is not insulated and I only wear it spring and fall. Don’t need to layer much down to about 30 degrees. Mine is still going strong. No zipper problems and no leaks of any kind. I have the bib style because I am tall.

    x2

Guidewear uninsulated has been more than enough for me the past 10 years. Layer well underneath and you’ll be good!

Does anyone else have issues getting to the Search page on an iPhone 5 in Google Chrome?

When I click on My Home, instead of showing the drop down menu (like it does on the other headings) with the the link to the Search page, it brings me to My Home page.

I don’t have one to form an opinion, but it sounds like you’re problem is more the dealer than anything else.

I bet if he would have replaced the blower on the spot, you might not have such a bad taste in your mouth regarding Stihl.

Doesn’t the sticker on the boat have the registered owner’s name on it? Maybe I’m thinking of the other half of the sticker they give you… The one you’re supposed to carry with you on the boat.

    Speed test was interesting.

    Ran it three times.

Upload speed was consistent between 1.05 and 1.11 mbps. Download speed was inconsistent. Once 4.23, 4.31, and 2.77 mbps.

Next step guys, are the above scores good or bad?

    They are… not good.

    Speed is relative.

You need to find out from your internet service provider what speed you are paying for. Then take that and multiply it by 80% and that should be the average speed you’re seeing from the tests.

80% because you are operating wirelessly.
