Thanks for your input it was valuable in my decision. Curious about the washer issue, does the hourglass washer come with the prop or is something that needs to be ordered additionally with the prop? Is this washer special for this prop or? Last, did the clunk noise in the motor disappear?
    Thanks again for your help.

I wish I could share my combo, I recently purchased the boat and have not been on the water w/it yet. The prop on the boat is a 15 X 21 but the previous owner did not know the brand. The boat is not available to get any info from the prop right now. Previous owner stated the boat would run 56-58mph all day loaded and a good hole shot with a tournament load or 4 full size people. He noted a significant improvement in performance with the 250 offshore from his previous f250 (non offshore motor). His top end was 61mph with a light load. Overall, if everything I have been told is accurate the boat/motor is propped well right now. To be honest I don’t believe the boat is that fast (top end) and still has a great hole shot from what others have stated but I don’t know.

Why I’m asking around is because I want to purchase 2nd prop so I have a spare for the boat and I’m looking for info from others who are running the same rig. I have studied a couple of forums looking for info on this but it seems to be a limited amount of info. I would have to agree with you, not that many are running this combo. I have spoken to couple of pros with identical rigs and each have had a different prop. One of the props I’m considering is the Yamaha Saltwater II Series with the SDS hub 15 X 21. The SDS (Sound Dampening System) hub was recommended from others who switch to this prop with positive results and no more clunking noise. At some point, prior to buying a prop I will also give Rick from Brainerd Props a call to see what he would recommend, I understand he is the prop guru and has lots of knowledge.

My quest to find the answer is to just ask those who can share their knowledge. I’m more interested in a good all around prop with a good hole shot. Top end speed is not important. I purchased a boat with Yamaha motors and know they are not the title takers on the water, arguably the slowest but their reliability is second to none and for that reason I chose the Yamaha motors. Thanks for your reply.
