I contacted otter about my overhead poles. I got a email less then 12 hrs later saying they are sending a replacement that should fix the problem.

I have a X over lodge. I feel my canvas is very tight. I really have to struggle to get the top to wind poles in. I feel I have to force them in..Also I have difficulty at times with the side door zippers opening and closing easily. It gets to the top round area of the corner and I have to fight with them to close.
The upper corners in the back are very tight to. I loosened all velcro as loose as possible. When I initially set it up I let it sit for a week to stretch, then opened and closed a few times, reset up before secureing fabric with screws. It was still tight but figured it would loosen more. Well Ive used it about 10 times and its still tight. I’ve take pics of corners and zippers in case something gives.

I finally got mine to work last night. I originally downloaded using the “windows” option on the download. I downloaded it again last night using the Java Installer. It worked using the Java. I dont think all the files came across using the windows option.

I was up there last weekend. Fished out of 4 mile bay area. Caught lots of fish varying in size. Lots of 12-13 inch but enough of 14-17 to take home. We mainly stayed in the morris gap area, 11-12 ft. We anchored but most others were drifting. Tell him to use frozen shiners! They will out fish live fatheads 10 to 1. We had lots of people watching us catch fish after fish as they got Zilch using fatheads. Great time of year to be up there. My son caught a 41 in stourgeon in the Rainy River. What a blast that was. 20 min to get it up. Hope this helps

So by doing that are you able to drive it on? or you just cranking it in? I am usually by myself or with kid so I crank it on most of the time. Thanks for the tip. I will have to try it out.

I was just up there a week ago but a little south of Red Lake. We were at Cedar Lake by Perrault Falls. We bought leeches in nester falls, a half pound. We hardly used any. I brought up some frozen shiners and they out fished anything else we tried. A gold or chartreuse jig tipped with the shiner caught pike, walleye, perch and a few smalllies. I know what I will be bringing more of next year as we didnt have enough to keep up.

where is the bluffs park?

Do you actually keep any of the Crappie out of Squaw? I was there last June and picked up a few for the pan. Mistake, they really smelt / tasted fishy and skunky. That lake greens up quick. Its fun to catch them though.

Thursday AM might work depending on when you go out. I have to work at noon but could push it back to 2pm. I live over in Western Wi so it is about a 40 min drive over to St. Paul. Let me know if that works.

Dino, Was that you I talked to at the Lilydale boat ramp on friday? We talked as St. Paul Fire was messing around with that boat on the ramp. Anyway, we caught 2 walleye up at the dam off jig / minnow and that was it. They werent big but better than nothing. We tried the confluence and couple other areas but nothing else. It was my first time fishing the river there my myself. If you ever need a boat partner to teach the river fishing techniques let me know. I would be glad to drive over and fish.

Ok I found a map of pool 3. If I go on Friday afternoon and put in at the Jaques public access at Prescott, what is my best option to fish. Plastics on the wingdams, jig and minnow around where the rivers meet, downstream or anywhere else?? Thanks

It seems to me that they pretty much have all the same features except for the screen size on x15 and better resoluton on the 480’s. I dont understand why the x15 is so much more $$$ based on the screen size. I am only wondering on the x15 because I saw one at a store that is the combo unit I believe (I have to go back and check) and it was priced at $580. If it is the combo package it has to be mispriced as I have seen them running at about $1000. I guess I will see when I go back.
