Thanks for all of the responses fellas. Yeah I guess a little more background would have been good. As far a budget, I don’t have a wife so no restriction there but yeah I’m just a recreational fisherman so I probably don’t need all of the bells and whistles but at the same time I feel like if I go too cheap I’ll be kicking myself later. I’d like to keep it under 2000$, but if it made sense to spend a little more I’d probably be willing to fork out the cash. That 597 looks like a sweet little unit, thanks!
