The overfill will let water in sometimes. I would think it’d be more apt to happen going in reverse more than normal especially in rough or current areas.
I typically leave my plug out, it’ll have a bit of water on the bottom sloshing around but never fills up, that I’ve noticed.

    Hey, another quick question.

Is the sport track system on the adventure 1775, 45 degrees or 90 degrees? I can’t find this info online.

I’m looking at getting some Brocraft rod holder mounts..

    90 deg.

I have the motor trimmed down right now. It measures 19’7”.
Motor trimmed up it’s around 20’4” give or take with the tongue broke down.

Since I’m here, a little update.
This boat rocks. I have two full seasons on it and probably around 80 hours on the motor. No issues other than finding time to fish more.
115 etec HO pushes this boat typically around 44 mph. Perfect conditions I’ve seen 46 with a blimp of 47. Typical quiet running around 37 mph. Fuel economy cruising around 25.
I had to run a 19 pitch Viper prop and could honestly go up more if they made a 20. I can still over rev most cases even fully loaded.
Boat jumps on plane instantly as well. No creep whatsoever. Especially once you hit the power band at 4200 rpm. Too bad they quit making them.
Boat fishes great. Very stable especially for my 2 and 5 year old. Rod storage is superb. It’s honestly a great boat for the price.
I have two gripes. Not that they’re that bad. First I wish I could lock the front two large storage compartments. Second is the fuel gauge. I have a 22 gallon tank. After I burn about 11 gallons it shows empty. I wish it was closer to 18 gallons before it showed empty. But I can go to a fishing vacation and make it all week with long runs on about 30 gallons of gas. (Take two 5 gallon jugs with)
Let me know if you have any other specific questions.
    Regards

I have the Lund sport top on my Adventure and absolutely love it for the kids. It saved me from getting drenched about 4 times last summer and vital to have when it’s sunny skies and I have my young boys with.
It takes about 2 minutes to set up and I’ve found it rarely in the way, tucked under the rear seats.

I’ve had good luck canning salsa without any kind of seasoning mix.
tomatoes chopped, onion, green peppers, jalapenos (plus whatever other peppers I grow for added head), cilantro, and a little basil. along with salt and pepper. (I’ve added other things as well, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, etc and the plain recipe always seems to come out the best)
Bring big pot of all ingredients finely chopped to a boil then place into canning jar. I usually boil my canning jars and lids prior to pouring salsa in for decontamination and heat matching. Then let cool with lids one and rings just snug. I’ve only lost a couple can of hundreds to not sealing on their own. But that can get ate up in a couple days when refrigerated.

I put AT-Ms on my escape which I use for my daily driver. I have 10k on them and they looked brand new when I just rotated. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to replace them on my F-150 with ATMs so I’m sure the at2s are just as good.

I see you’ve made up your mind but I’d like to comment for anyone else that uses this thread in the future.
I’ve used a lot of fillet knives and cut a lot of fish up. Mostly panfish.
Over the years I’ve tried a lot of different knives. Rapala, amazon, wustohf, bubba blade, buck knife etc.
I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m more efficient with 2 different blades. When I cut the fillet off the fish, I tend to use my bubba blade most often. It’s a much stiffer blade than the rest and saws through the ribs well because of this. Then when I get all the fillets cut off, I grab either the buck or wustof because they are much thinner and flexible. This makes quick work of removing the skin.
If I had to choose just one of my blades to use for the complete fish, it’d be my buck knife fillet knife. It holds the edge longest and has a great mix of flexibility, backbone, and ergonomics.

Big flat fender washers would not hurt either. I’ve done this in the past on a couple different boats.

I also think you should always carry a source of fire, lighter or waterproof matched.
One time fishing a small cranberry reservoir in my 1460 flat bottom, a storm blew in and turned the water into 3′ whitecaps. We got soaked trying to get to shore a ways from the landing (couldn’t make headway with a 9.9. With the rain and splash over we got soaked in about 45 degree weather (spring crappie fishing). If it hadn’t been for the lighter and some aerosol reel lubricant to start a fire, we probably would have had to call for help with our hypothermic state. Never did we think we’d get stranded but being prepared saved us.

Took delivery on my 1775 Adventure sport. I’m quite impressed with everything. I’m excited to get it on the water and test it out next weekend.
If anyone has any questions feel free to let me know.

dont know what youre talking about WILLIS???
Did i say anything bad or wrong, just correct me if i did please
    it was just a tought

It’s an old TV quote. It was just a little hard to understand but I caught your drift and tried to be funny. Sorry for any insult derived from that.

To add to this thread, I think it’s all about the dealer. I was able to get my new order Lund adventure 1775 with an etec. I could have had a Yamaha or Merc as well. The dealership I went to carry’s all three lines of motors and were happy to install any one of those. I opted for the etec because that’s what the dealership “specializes” in and can get the best price for. I paid $300 more for the etec HO over the ProXS. The warranty is what I felt important. (just for those curious, the F115 Yamaha was $3100 more, sho was $350 more yet)
Also, as far as ordering a new boat goes. I’ve been pretty lucky so far. Dealer has kept me posted all along the process. The new boat was laminated 4 weeks in, processed to ship a week later. Now it’s waiting for shipment (dealer said this could be the longest wait as they won’t ship the boat by itself…) then it’s scheduled for rigging (this week actually) so unless I get delayed from here out, I feel pretty lucky the process has gone as expected.

I have been using Lew’s casting reels since they returned to the market. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the quality of their reels. I have 5 bait casters ranging from $100 – $200. I also have two speed spool spinning reels. I have done very little maintenance and they work year after year with braid/mono/floro all alike. I would typically only buy shimano sahara spinning reels but have slowly switched to Lew’s and they haven’t missed a beat.
As far as the rods go. I don’t have much experience with them but if their quality is half what their reels are I wouldn’t hesitate to try them.
    Good luck.

My experience from this spring and Lund with an AL boat.
Ordered March 21. Boat was laminated April 18. Shipdate was Week of April 29th. Dealer said they would call when it showed up but the ship date could be delayed until they have enough boats to fill a truck. Dealer scheduled rigging week of may 13th. I know this probably doesn’t help in the case of a Glass boat but I believe it verifies Lund isn’t a completely clueless with a production cycle.

If it were me, I would take it to a business that advertises replacing iPhone/android screens. See if they can special cut something as a replacement. Something along those lines has to be cheaper than an entirely new remote.
On a side note, when I get mine, I believe I’ll look into getting one of the glass stick on screen protectors like I’ve been using on my phones for 6 years. As long as I don’t have to modify it too bad, it should come with a lifetime warranty.

I recently went through the decision process of should I buy a 1775 Impact XS or an Adventure 1775 sport. I went and compared them side by side.
I did not like the livewell in the bow on the Impact. I felt like that took away from bow storage. Could I plug that and use it as storage for tackle, yes but it wasn’t ideal for me. That’s a personal preference thing.
    Now the four main differences:
    1. thicker hull plating .0715 (14 GA) compared to .080 (13ga)
    2. Beam is 96″ compared to 87″
    3. Trailer is a bit beefer, 2×6 instead of 2×4 bunks. Rails 2×4 instead of 2×3
    4. port rod locker instead of cubby hole.
    5. Weight (obviously)
Now those all could be Pros to getting the impact but not necessarily to me. I fish the Mississippi river a lot and deal with current. I can see the narrower beam make it easier to track in the current. This specifically while on the trolling motor not so much while on plane. It might not be that noticeable but could reason my decision for a 80 lb terrova instead of a 112. The added stability would be nice but that will already be a major upgrade as I’m coming from a 72″ beam dominator.

So at the end of the day, I went with the adventure. It was about $5k more for the impact. I felt like I was mostly paying for the beam at that point because I was removing bow storage for port storage. They are both great boats and I guess I felt like I got more bang for my buck with the adventure. Who knows, maybe the adventure will be a couple MPH faster?
(I ordered it to be rigged with an Etec 115 H.O.)

I think that is why a lot of people put these Ulterras on a detachable bracket. For fear that it will fail while in the water with no way to stow the trolling motor back on the boat.

I have the char-griller akorn kamando grill. The knock off green egg you can buy from Menards. First off I’m a 15 year webber classic grill vet. I’ve tried gas and don’t want it. If it’s grilled it has to be charcoal.
That being said I wanted to try one of the insulated grills and went with what I listed above. I can say that It’s THE best cooking investment I’ve ever made. Controlling temperature, conserving charcoal, cast iron grilling surface, grilling space and grill top temp consistency. Everything works great on this grill.
I’ve smoked a ham on it for 6 hours at 180 deg. and cooked tomestone pizzas for 6 minutes at 500 degrees. Chicken quarters at 400 for an hour turn out better than any chicken pit I’ve tasted.
I would highly recommend the char-griller akorn grills. I’ve probably put 40 bags of Kingsford through mine and it looks new still. No pitting in the firebox or problems. The one thing I’ve dealt with was my fault and I dropped the center cast iron grill grate and shattered it. I bought a new one for $15.

The only option I would highly highly recommend is the ceramic plate. If you don’t have that, I feel like you get too much grease/food drippage and it makes it harder to control the temps/flare ups.

    Good luck

Thank you. Yes it is a great boat. I’d use this forever but with a growing family and young kids, (plus my wife) they all requested a wind shield.

Another vote for B-Y baits. I always have a profile of there’s that will catch fish. Mayfly is my go-to.
