I realize that ice is a ways off. I didn’t start this thread to malign Tuned Up Customs, I was just wondering what normal turn around is. I had intentions of ordering another rod and I was wondering how much lead time I have to give myself.

I think it is fair to point out that nobody has said how long it took to get their rods.

I called a few days ago and they said that they where waiting on a few components to finish one of the rods. Sounded like it may be another week or two.

Your link goes to a private video. Sounds like a sound idea though.

Um, you need to look closer. That’s a vex.

I used to carry a Canon camera bag around with a nice Nikon in it. Cause who would steal a Canon, right? Same thing in the photo I guess. A Marcum prototype disguised in a Vex bag. Hah!

Sticking to your story even after the jig is up. That not only makes you a great fisherman, but a model American. God Bless you sir and you tall tales.

I have had my best luck with thin balsa Thill floats weighted to be neutrally buoyant when fishing crappies. It actually works crazy good if you weigh the float so it slowly sinks, about 1/2″-1″ a second. I don’t know why but it works stupid good.

The link included us usually my float of choice.

I personally never use more than 4# line on my ice rods. Just make sure that you have a quality drag and set it right and you will be fine. I usually use 2# on all my panfish rods. Even for walleyes, unless you are planning a trip to Lake Erie or Lake Winnipeg 4# is plenty.

I am sure some will disagree but this is what has worked for me. The only break-offs I ever have is from poor knots or when I am too lazy to retie after a large catch(usually a pike). Both are my fault and not the lines.

Consider it done! That looks both awesome and super convenient to tote around. rotflol

I’m picking up what you guys are putting down and I would most likely run a split screen with the graph and a vertical bar. I was only asking because the curiosity is getting the best of me. The flasher looks hugenormusly large on the LX-7.

I am looking to get a new auger. My old Strikmaster Cobra Pro is falling apart after drilling thousands of holes over the years. What kind of deals should I expect at the show? I am particularly interested in an Eskimo Shark Z71.
