She’s going to be insured on your most expensive vehicle, not the 2011 jeep.

I saw only one covey of ten, Sunday morning in Fillmore county. Usually see more than that over the deer season

I probably see 4-5 coveys a year during deer season. Always real skittish. I have only bagged one in my life in MN about 25 years ago. We can never get close enough to them it seems.

As a former trapper in my youth, I don’t care for conibears set on land that can catch dogs. I appreciate what trappers do, but common sense can be uncommon often. A dog in a 330 is dead(I think that is illegal on land in MN right?), a dog in a 220 has little time before its dead if its isn’t seriously injured anyway.
I had a dog get in a #2 or 1.5 coil spring leg hold, only to be snared the following month. He was 1.5 years old at the time and it ruined him for hunting. refused to hunt the sloughs and grass. I guess I was lucky that I got to him fast both times, but still cost me plenty in vet bills and one doctor visit for me for and pretty good bite on my hand. That, however, was on private land with the trapper not having permission. Those traps were damaged while I removed my dog from them.
Just my opinion. Don’t like it, don’t care

    Just a heads up here

Tis the season of burst piping.
With the warm weather approaching, there will be many pipes that are currently frozen, thawing out and bursting.

One of the main culprits are your outside water spigots, or hose connections. These seemingly simple areas are a large concern when they burst and flood your basements. Each water supply to your outside lawn faucets should have a shutoff valve in your homes. I would recommend that if you have a shutoff valve in your home and did not shut them off before winter it is worth your time to check them now before this warm spell thaws them out.

I do water mitigation so I kinda of hope people forget.

    X3,

One addition I would make is install “EASY HEAT” in the Tile Floor Grout.

    Easy Heat link

We remodeled ours in 2005, best investment I’ve made. Tiles are always cold, but with this setup, you have a thermostat to control it. Leave it on just enough to take chill off floor in Summer and Winter crank it up. Wife goes and sits on edge of tub with bare feet on the floor to warm up. It’s wonderful on cold winter mornings too.

We used the cable version due to L-Shape bathroom, they also have Mats for rectangular shaped rooms.

    Good Luck

He is right. You can use the mats in an L shaped room you just have to cut it right. Pour a self-leveling base.

We had to put down our beloved “Charley” recently and are looking to bring home a Golden Retreiver pup. If any one has any info. on breeders would love to here from you.

    Thanks,
    Crispy

We lost our “Charlie” last spring and are now looking for a new golden pup too. I was hoping to score a pup from a litter they are expecting this summer, but I am too excited and anxious. I’d be interested in leads too.

Honestly I think a really good contractor will give you better info than a house inspector. I have dealt with two in the last 6 months that have no clue what is really wrong or causing issues. Most probably have never built home from the ground up so they really don’t understand what is involved in fixing the problems.
I recommended the buyer walk on the first and am fixing the second now. The inspection report on the second really has useless info in it. Moisture stucco mold hvac and window issues.

I have been gassed to toxic levels. I’ll be blunt. One of the worst experiences you can have. I drove home, don’t remember it, passed out on the driveway, taken to hospital and treated. Sunday I was running an auger with a friend, couldn’t stand it after 30 seconds I was sick all afternoon. You become so sensitive after the initial poisoning. I don’t think we remind ourselves enough of the dangers and consequences.

17400?? That seems fairly high for 288 sq ft.

Azek is much better than Trex. I have build a lot of decks and we really push azek over trex just because it is so much better of a product. I am a GC and just re decked my neighbors 6 year old trex deck with azek deck and azek rail, huge improvement

The contractor is only responsible for his labor unless he put in writing a material warranty for ten years. Who would be that stupid? If his workmanship did not cause any damage to your home or the shingles, he is free and clear.
Personally I would help you get your claim with certainteed though because we still believe in customer service after the sale. Some people just want your money, I want your referal, too. Sounds like your contractor doesn’t want to work for you again.
Certainteed products are all garbage. They will probably try give you merchandise credit for 2/3 of the what materials cost nine years ago. Or give you more of their junk products as a replacement. Maybe they will offer a cash settlement. Their Fiber cement siding is absolute crap, I’m working on getting three of our past customers home resided at certainteed expense. I hope you are a patient man because Certainteed will drag their feet each inch of the way.

Probably cost between 5-6 bucks a sq ft to have some one pour it.

I am a GC too. The whole story of how “high” maintenance granite isn’t very accurate. Really it takes about as much time to seal granite as it takes to wipe your tops off with a wash cloth. Let it dry for 20 minutes. To do this once every 5 years is hardly high maintance. I can get quite a bit of granite for less than quartz or silestone and have a totally unique and durable top that looks awesome. And I can schedule it out to be installed 3-4 days after measurements. Personally, I dont like the look of man made tops because it looks man made. YMMV If you need to save few dollars, try to find an in stock color at a fabricator. If you are selecting a slab from a wholesaler you will pay more because you purchase whole slabs not just what you need. I just did a kitchen that need 6 sq ft off a second slab. I wanted to get some credit for the 54 sq ft of left over granite, one fabricator said no the other said we will charge you for what you use. I wont be going back to the first fabricator. Saved my clients 1500 bucks and I’ll bet that same amount that I’ll get another referral out of it.

I just got home last night after spending a few days at Bay Store Camp. I love it up there . I was with friends who have cabins within eyesight of Walsh’s and we still stay there. Frank and Laura are great people. Access to Canadian waters is a plus too.

Did you not notice that it is winter? Should all businesses close there doors at the slightest hint of snow to limit risk of lawsuits? You were on the side of the building is that a normal place for pedestrian traffic at this business? Did you not think that ice was slippery?

    yes retorical questions are rampant.

Wanna guess why overhead expenses for businesses is going throught the roof?

You have health insurance they’ll cover it.

    KH

Yes, well aware that it’s winter time…..what is your point?

I’m not looking for a lawsuit, nor did I suggest one!

Assuming the same sidewalk that runs NEXT to the store (the side I parked on) that has 4 stalls for parking of automobiles in front of it (by the way) that CONNECTS at a 90* angle (basically the same sidewalk) to the walk that is in front of the store…..yes, I do believe w/ the parking stalls and the simple fact there is a sidewalk seems simple enough to me that pedestrian traffic is to be expected!

Ummmm….IF I had noticed the ice…..yes, I’m sure I would have expected it to be slippery!

Calm down! I’m not taking this place to court to own part of the business. They have insurance…..it’s called liability insurance…..if you are a home owner, you have it too. If someone gets hurt on your property, you’d have it covered. Same for them. I’m looking out for myself! If the worker cared enough to salt the front walk-way but was too lazy to salt the same sidewalk on the side of the building……yes, they can use their insurance to pay for my torn up knee!

Next time I ask for advice, bug off! If I ever ask for an opinion, by all means, jump in and sound off!

Sorry didn’t mean to sound like a prick about it, but you didn’t have very much info. on the scenario. I dont like lawyers, I’ll leave it at that.

For the record, I pay business liabilty insurance and homeowners insurance. I still think it is best avenue to use your own insurance. Much less pain in the butt for you and the business owner.

You need a contractor to get in the fight with you. Insurance adjustors are not there to help you in any way. A call to your agent should be made asap, too. It is rare to find a newer house that doesn’t have a “total replacement” clause. To not have that would make insurance practically pointless.

However, keep in mind that most insurance companies aren’t there to help you. And who your insurance company is will make a difference. American Family in particular is terrible about claims.

I’m a general contractor and I deal with insurance claims every so often. I have seen some really bad and unfair treatment by insurance on obvious claims. DO NOT back down!! They have to pay to restore it to the condition it was in. Did you have mismatched shingles before? Hell No! Find a quality roofing contractor to help you.
