If you are looking for support here you aren’t going to find it. Correct me if i’m wrong but weren’t you looking for advice in guiding a few months ago you need to work on people skills before you ever fish for hire. I know your young so now is the time to think before you leap into the guiding business. Tournaments are being blasted every day because people put winning before all else ,slow down and enjoy the sport.

Well pulling bottom bouncers and crawler harness did not pan out but 10/12 FT live bait rig with one red bead was lites out crazy.Fished the tops of flats with the wind and clouds/smoke haze fish bit all day. Many 12/15″ fish but also caught 4 over 25″ on friday.
July 4, 2015 at 10:00 pm #1553151Friday July 3, 18 walleye for me and wife.Started out on the flats toward the center of lake but with the west winds things were a little rough for her. Weather man called for 5 miles out of the west i”m not buying that.We moved in toward shore and calmer waters, best option was long rigs 10/12ft with red bead #4 octopus hooks ,lots of small fish ,2 fish over 25″ back to back many just over or under the slot not to bad I thought.
June 28, 2015 at 1:04 pm #1552209Are jolley roger blades available in any stores in the metro preferably east metro? Due to timing ordering on will not work . Thanks much

June 13, 2015 at 1:37 pm #1550011What year lund is it? There is a outfit in Delano,mn. Anchor marine repair that does this work. Try them at http://www.anchormarinerepair.com, I’ve heard they are good and if your not under warranty you’ll have better luck than dealing with lund. Lund are great boats I’ve had my Pro-V since 1999 and its still in great shape Lund is”nt very friendly when it comes to repairs, good luck.
June 4, 2015 at 8:05 am #1548493AS honest john said drive the boat in reverse to force the water in to the intake. Also i think you will have a switch mounted some where for front and rear livwell that says fill, empty and recir set on fill when needed. 60 inch will be best for trolling motor on bow,the vantage is sweet but if your not doing alot of back trolling maybe pass on this I think they are approx, 1000.00$ give or take. You will like at least 80# thrust on your trolling motors witch will require a 24 volt system 2 new batteries.
May 31, 2015 at 3:29 pm #1547844I should have read my post before submitting but you get the idea .Thanks again
May 29, 2015 at 11:21 am #1547621I kinda thought camera magic could be a problem. I got lucky and found a humminbird pro staffer that lives 1 mile away that would look at the unit and said every was set up right. He was also kind enough to go on a local lake to check it out and help me understand better what I was seeing I just need to spend time playing with it to learn. Which is hard to do when a guy is out to fish.DI is still a little sad but as stated its not HD. SI is much better so onward and upward. Thanks for the replys to my question. DO you guys also run a high speed transducer with your units because I loose my bottom signal at approx, 20 MPH? Is it worth spending 100 dollars for transducer and Y cable?
May 26, 2015 at 7:08 pm #1547083Would this method be worth trying any time during open water or is it more of a cold water choice? Also James when I asked earlier this season about trolling pepin you told me to pray for rain to help with the bite ,did I over do it should I stop praying?
May 24, 2015 at 7:21 am #1546718I wear the lacrosse knee high boots in most cases and I have a 17 ft boat on a roller trailer. As said before a comfort item keeps feet dry in colder weather. These boots are great for alot of different uses.I also don’t power load my boat.
May 21, 2015 at 4:51 pm #1546458Any idea what they are? Small walleye or just some type of minnow? Either way things look great for the future.
May 5, 2015 at 8:05 pm #1541423Had the same problem with a 1999 75 hp merc tiller these guys are right on change out the relay good to go and a easy fix and cheap, good luck.
April 26, 2015 at 5:45 pm #1538167I have a humminbird 998c and i also loose depth ,it just goes crazy for awhile then it finds its self and all is good.I was thinking it could be I set the depth range to shallow . And it was lost so to speak,I guess I could try setting on manual and let adjust its self for depth. Any thoughts to this theory? Thanks for the help……
April 26, 2015 at 7:33 am #1538043One thing I found out from hiring a guide on pool 2 was when jigging we were in way shallower water than I would have ever tried ,I may have pitched to these locations but we would just hover over these fish and did quite well. There are alot of great sticks on this site that fish pool 2 that will maybe chime in at some point. Mike W on the site use to guide pool 2 I don’t know if he still does but he is pretty good.
April 26, 2015 at 7:17 am #1538034With out getting to indepth when you found these Toms strutting in the fields after they moved off you could have investigated the site and saw what is called a strut zone. This is an area where toms strut frequently for the hens and ware a strip in the ground.Toms will cone back to these favorite spots if not disturbed to badly. Also when the toms and hens moved off on you the hens will loose the toms at some point in the day and the toms get lonely and may come back to the the strut zone.Running and gunning works best if you know the land well, other wise you get busted trying to get close to birds. Try to intercept the birds going some where and use the terrain to hide your movement. Good luck this a very addictive sport I’m sure some of the turkey guru’s will chime in at some point.
April 18, 2015 at 8:23 am #1535488Thanks for the quick response James,Will the early spring and low water level have much effect on the timing of this bite? I just watched the video and you spoke of water temps and levels dropping. I have fished this with you when you were still guiding and we did cast to the willows early in the day but I suspect the water won;t be in the willows unless we get some spring rain. Thanks again.
March 27, 2015 at 5:20 pm #1528013I had this same problem with 1999 75 hp tiller .It was a very simple fix. Tilt/trim relay under the hood easy and cheap fix . Try this before giving up,good luck.

January 4, 2015 at 2:52 pm #1491860That machine is so cool my only question is if anything were to happen how would they get to you with out a hovercraft them selves?

October 14, 2014 at 1:55 pm #1463720James I will be fishing this weekend between brainerd and walker. Will turnover affect the jigging rap in this area? I kwow this is slightly north of St cloud and was hoping you could give me some insight and possible depths to work. thank you for your thoughts.

September 10, 2014 at 9:42 pm #1453662Once again I would like to thank Eric and SBC for the prompt service on my F75 Yamaha.I live approximately 1 hour away from SBC and will not hesitate to bring my boat back. They also found that the dealer which installed my Yamaha neglected to install the water/fuel filter.
September 9, 2014 at 5:21 pm #1453188there is a group called capable partners which assists hunters with disabilities to duck and deer hunt. They have duck blinds in the river bottoms near Eden Prairie I believe near flying cloud airport. They also have deer blinds handicap accessible. This would be very rewarding and challenging.

July 16, 2014 at 9:46 pm #1440804Its my understanding a boat is built to have water pressure from the outside against the hull, filling it up from the inside puts pressure and will cause more damage to the hull ,causing seams and rivits to expand and leak.Maybe call a repair shop or dealer.
May 27, 2014 at 5:51 pm #1412504I think the red door resort on mille lacs is a dealer. This may have changed due to the sale of the resort. Fred the old owner was selling them in the front yard of the resort. The new owner may be able to put you in contact with Fred good luck.
