Crappies are pretty small on cedar, but you will catch them on the north end off the point.

Take your time to slowly get him back to the water. It will probably take some time now. They are water dogs so eventually he will come around. After you notice he has confidence you, try going in the water first. By him seeing you in there might help. You are like a parent him now. He might just go out with one paw, then two…eventually he will go in again. It will probably be only on his terms. Bring him around water often. He might not always go in but start by letting him see it isn’t bad.

January 17, 2005 at 10:11 pm #337100The sunnies have been very picky on Prior. We were fishing one of the bays and you had to sight fish. The water is very clear out there this winter. As for jigs you have to have to right one or they won’t bite. I was sitting right next to my buddy in the portable and I was catching all the fish. He was too stubborn to put on the same jig. He could see the fish swim right past his jig to mine. Finally he put on the same jig and caught some fish.
