Thanks. Where can a guy get a blue book like that?

Thanks for the heads up! It’s nice that you would keep me in mind. This sight is the best! Hope your summer is going well.
March 21, 2007 at 10:08 pm #551683Isn’t it weird to think he’s still on the Arizona…Dec 7th still lives on. I will pass along your wishes. Thanks.
March 21, 2007 at 12:23 am #551151I’m going to have a cup of coffee with Paul Filer later on this week. He was the 86yr old Pearl Harbor Vet that sang “Danny Boy” on St. Patty’s day. Does anyone have anything they want me to pass on to him?
January 7, 2007 at 6:02 pm #51943512″ or so. Not the greatest ice though. I would still recommend atv’s.
January 7, 2007 at 3:04 am #519340ALSO, along with ATV’s, SNOWMOBILES or any other form of recreational vehicle, the DNR DOES HAVE the authority to enforce laws on the highways. These class II utilities are under the enforcement of the State Patrol, County Law enforcement and the DNR.
January 7, 2007 at 2:59 am #519339OK fellers here’s the scoop. Class II UTV’s (Rhino, Ranger, Mule etc) are between 900 and 1500 lbs. As of December 12th, they have a different set of laws. ATV’s still cannot travel on the shoulders of county highways or state trunk highways. The class II Utility vehicles can. You must be 16 with a valid driver’s license. They have a whole new registration system for them. Please be careful and don’t abuse this priviledge. We don’t need a handful of dingbats wrecking it for the rest of us. PM if you want anymore info. thanks.
December 14, 2006 at 9:08 pm #511400yes, please ask him what that typically costs. Thank you so much!
December 14, 2006 at 1:14 pm #511126thanks for the input everyone. It’s out of warranty, fluids are fine and on occasion all the lights on the 4X4 panel blink and pop. I would bet it’s a faulty switch as well.
November 17, 2006 at 3:42 am #500514this one is just in time for Thanksgiving.
can of cream of mushroom
can of cream of celery
box of Stove Top stuffingbrown some pheasant strips in flour/salt/pepper
put the cooked stuffing in a cake pan about 1″ thick
put the strips of pheasant on the stuffing and smother with the soup (mix the soup with some water)
cook until the soup is “melted” evenly.Holy cow it’s easy and you get the “meat and potato’s” type of meal all in one. Kind of like a hotdish that you were asking for. Let us know how it turns out.

September 17, 2006 at 2:38 am #479629These were 2 buoys about 10′ apart with a piece of tubing connecting them. This is different than avoiding a rock pile…the rock pile has been there forever and I know where they are. These things pop up randomly. I use a spotlight at night occasionally, but it’s not practical or the safest when traveling a few miles. All of this could be solved very cheaply. Why would we “just accept this” if we could “solve it” easily?
September 13, 2006 at 3:37 am #478085Thanks for the link…If they were placed by the Natives I would be upset; if they were placed by our DNR I would be REALLY upset! Why can they leave a hazard out over night and I can’t? With all the fancy expensive stuff that they have in their arsenal, would a couple solar powered LED lights be that tough? Could have been very dangerous! It was in 12′ and about 3/4 mile from shore. We could have hit that thing going 40mph. Still not cool.
August 16, 2006 at 2:25 am #469610I have a Rhino by Yamaha. I drove the Prowler (after I had purchased the Rhino) and it seemed like a great machine. The Ranger appears to be bullet proof and the bench seat is nice for 3 guys. I would put some sort of cab/windshield on whatever you buy. The pulling power of the Rhino is incredible as I’m sure the others are. The Mule types are OK, but slow and rough. The others with independent suspension make the ride unbelievable! I put SuperSwampers on mine and the thing is nearly un-stoppable. The ONLY thing I don’t like about the machines is how restricted they are when it comes to riding in the ditch or shoulder or trails. I didn’t buy mine with the intention of ditch riding or trail riding, but it sure would be nice to be able to get from point A to point B in the ditch. PM me if you want more info as I have done a TON of research on these and have used several of them. Good luck on your purchase!
August 5, 2006 at 2:49 am #345993I also forgot to ask about ease of starting in cold weather…let’s say I’m out on Mille Lacs on a Tuesday with no one around and it’s -25 degrees at Midnight. Am I going to get it started or am I in for a long night staring at a bobber that hasn’t gone down in 8 hours?
August 5, 2006 at 2:24 am #348775There is a book out there called “Game Dog” by Richard Wolters. It’s a classic. Teaches both of you how to have fun, respect one another and get that pup of yours to be an extension of you. I would suggest that you get some pigeons or whatever to get the dog birdy. I made a critical mistake with our first dog by exposing it to gunfire improperly. I would be glad to help you if I can. Not an expert, not a trainer, but have learned over the last 3 retrievers what to do and more importantly what NOT to do. Have fun, start slow and make sure your pup is having fun along the way when it comes to retrieving and being around birds.
July 28, 2006 at 2:33 am #464549I have used the X-125 a few times and find them very hard to read in the sunlight. With the orange backlight they were not the easiest to read at night either. I have a eagle 320 and that one reads easy anytime. Not sure about the 135, but it has to be better than the 125. I would consider buying a discontinued 104 or some other color unit. They are awesome!
July 20, 2006 at 2:43 am #461923thanks guys! The one at BassPro looks exactly like what I’m looking for. Will call them and Bloomington. Thanks again.

If you are just looking for walleye go to Knobby’s at Fry Lake. If you are looking for all the best go to Totem and you will be treated like kings and have Walleye, Northern, Smallies, Trout. Kind of expensive, but very nice. Oak Lake has the best of Walleye and the food is awesome. Personally I am a trout guy and Halley’s on Bee Lake was incredible (50-100 trout per day for 2 guys). If your looking for value, try Jay Mosbeck at Emo, ONT. Call Tompkin’s Hardware for info. They have everything from trout, northern and Walleye and smallies for cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clean cabins as well! 807-482-2754

June 12, 2006 at 3:22 am #453059I just used mine tonight for the first time. Worked well. My T8 steers seperately from the big motor with the Panther remote steer. Didn’t want to use the steering wheel and manuver 500lbs of motor instead of 100lbs. I mounted the remote in the back of the boat and it comes with about 12′ of cord so I can stand or sit anywhere in the back of the boat and use the trollmaster. I can also steer the T8 from anywhere in the boat due to the 18′ of cord. Both cords can be shoved back in a grommeted hole in the back of the boat to stow them. Works slick. I get the wierdest looks out on the water when people see my kicker turning back and forth without me touching the steering wheel or a tiller handle.
June 11, 2006 at 3:56 am #452944Just a dumb question…could this be a terrorism thing? Could they possibly be trying to demoralize our past and present military personnel? Thanks for your service guys!!!!!!!!!!
June 10, 2006 at 3:34 am #452830I was in the same situation and I put on a Panther electric steer. Now I can be anywhere in the boat and steer it with my foot due to a remote control. Kind of like a foot pedal for an electric motor. Not a fan of the tiller handle…not so much steering it, but having to sit or stand in an uncomfortable position to do it. Also, with the setup I’ve got, I can look forward to see my locator on the dash. Pretty slick.
June 7, 2006 at 3:44 am #451958Still there…tried the flats and found them in 28′ and 22′ on top as well. Then moved in to the hot spot in 7′ at dusk and got them on a 1/16 oz jig with a leech. Bugs were thick and so were the fish. Wind sucked even though it was out of the NW. Got a 20″ and a 18″ smallie as well. Fun night.
June 5, 2006 at 3:31 am #451361David and Katherine Wiggins up in Anoka just had a litter of blacks…they have awesome blood lines. Ebonstar’s Lean Mac and Fast Eddie Felson. Not cheap though, $7 or $800 bucks I think. We have two of their dogs and they are awesome. [email protected]. Tell them that Lily and Penelope sent you. They will know exactly who you are talking about.
