What speed setting do you have the drill on? you should be on the lower speed setting, 550 RPM I believe. I use a Ridgid x5, but I assume a Milwaukee also has speed 1 and 2, and you should be on 1. I also have the 8 inch, only used it one day, but it worked flawlessly!
