Don’t know about portable set up but the guys that have them in their permanent shacks love them. If you get it set up right for your portable, it should work fine.

I have six apple trees all together two wealthy’s one Haraldson one Zestar and then the two unknowns. The two new ones are in the ground and planted I transplanted them both into 55 gallon trash bins and try to get as much dirt around them as possible. They both seem to be doing quite well. I spoke with senator Carrie Ruud face to face last night and thanked her for supporting this. She said that this has definitely heated up the last few weeks. So I would think the word is getting out, keep voicing your opinion it works!
