We always use #5 Circle hooks never had a problem. Here is a pic of my niece holding one of each (Shovelnose & Lake). The big sturgeon being kissed by Kid Rock is a White Sturgeon on Columbia River, The Columbia might be a tributary of the St Croix but I don’t think so.

    Really?!?!?!

Lake Commandos Season 3 Ep 13 is a big disappointment. They lift a big sturgeon up by the gills.

Sliding Boats across the ice on March 22nd, Birchdale opens on March 25th.

Seems like a mild winter so far, I’d love to say March 10th but I would be dreaming!

Chicken Little was right! He should be getting paid every time someone says global warming or climate change.

    Plastics? Who uses plastics?

But seriously, where did you get them, how much did they cost and how many do they have left?

Al Gore…I want my money back! I did exactly as Algore instructed; I invested in a big gas guzzling SUV and drove extra miles all with one the goal of getting some good old fashioned global warming. Zip, nothing, nada, scatch, we might have ice in June.
So now we are going to call it climate change? We had that before global warming, infact we had experts in the 1950’s and even earlier – they are called Weatherman and they are never right either. I see a lot of SUVs on the roads, so a lot of people must have bought into the idea. Maybe Algore was really working for GM or Ford, think about it!

I don’t see a problem. Mille Lacs is in great shape. Excellent fish numbers. The fish look healthy. Why all the fuss? So you I haven’t seen a small walleye on that lake in two years. Big deal. They are probably shy. It’s not like you CAN’T catch a fish in the slot. Maybe you just have to fish all summer to catch one elusive slot fish. But boy, does it feel good when you finally get one. I guess the ML walleye population is healthy. Every picture I saw of a ML walleye last summer looked thin and fit. As a matter of fact I would say they were skinny, just the way I like my women. Not like some of those ugly, fat walleyes you catch elsewhere. I think there is a long list of issues, and I don’t see it getting any better. Red Lake #2??

Welcome! Great report. Great pics. Great effort. Finding rooms is always a challenge. Do you folks at the Royal Dutchman have rooms through 4/14?

Irishman, I didn’t know. It’s like Christmas every day. I didn’t even hear you “pop” when you bought that Terrova… iLink I assume?!?!? That kicker, the iLink and that 1198 on that 1800, now that’s a beautiful family. You are going to have a lot of fun on the big lake when you go after those enormous Lakers! What a difference a year makes!!!!!

I used to think this was the right question. Then I fished out of a Skeeter. You’d be nuts not to look at Skeeter. Skeeter Boat Center, Chippewa Falls. Dean is a great guy and they sponsor IDO!

I have had success with the bloodknot. If your leader is too long the swivel or bloodknot can have an impact on casting.
