I know for a fact that Adam really cares a bunch about taking care of fish and releases. I also doubt they came from the tourney. Congrats Mica!!! sounded like a tough one.

The reason I was fishing the champ was because it was on 14. I still went on with my plans and fished 14 today. The river is “alittle” dirty but not any different than the Illinois. My outlook on the whole thing is its Adams call. Its tough to be a director and your decsions never please everybody. Could the tourney be held in 14? Yes it could have, I fished miss river tourneys and have gone out in a lot worst conditions. The decsion has been made and there is nothing we can do about it.

Love it or hate it. The slot is working. When you can catch quality fish and zero for a tourney, you don’t feel too bad. Congrats Mica and his Dad for a great showing.

Rising water temps are not helping. Temps came up 10 degs where I was fishing in 3 days. Sat was the best day for me. Where I was fishing,grass was not to bad. Sunday was just crap.

Save me a few for next weekend.

Fun time with ya Tony. It`s always fun when 2 guides fun fish for 5 days. We did alot of running and gunning all day looking for active fish. Seems like we would get 1 or 2 fish at each stop. Alot of bait in the river so you had to be there at the right time. Short feeding windows.

I will be hitting 14 for 5 days starting aug 10th. I`m praying is settles down for good then.

I`m with you Tony. Just dont tell anybody how good the fishing is now on 14. LOL. Sauger size limit is a must. I would like to see a creel/netting study on before and after they started the slot. I know all pools are different and may not have the same affect as up north.

Been useing their plastics for 4 years now and they catch alot of fish. There is a good reason why they are doing what they are doing.I know the people that designed them.

Yep they are spawning now for the next 2-3 weeks. Bigger fish downriver. Tony I sure would like to go down where we were in the fall. I`ll bet it loaded there.

I did the same thing at Genoa once a long time ago. Makes you really stick out.LOL

I would think 100 of the 123 boats will be around the starved rock area this weekend. You will be able to get out friday afternoon because they have to quit fishing at 2:00. Saturday,,,, I dont know what to tell you but I will say this,If you want to launch at starved rock you better get there early.If you launch downriver at hennipen it will be alot less crowded.
