    i don’t think it is a bad idea. i caught a 15” smallmouth that hit a hog wobbler so it can get mixed results. i personally do not think the size of bait matters because i have caught numerous muskies, too many to count, jigging for walleyes with a 1/8oz fathead minnow so i wouldn’t get too terribly excited thinking you are going to catch bigger fish with bigger baits. just my 2 cents.

    I did end up finding where they went and it was very rewarding! Caught some beautiful females, full of eggs, all around the 20″ mark. Also found jumbo perch that were insanely fun to catch.

    All of my walleyes were in less than 6 fow and not even close to the dam.

    Holy Cow!!! I did not intend to cause a firestorm on this topic..

    I was just looking for some techniques to catch walleyes on this river instead of sauger city out there!!

    Thank you to the guys who gave me some good advice!!
