Thanks Chris I’m pretty pumped about her! I have a bunch of electronics and tracks and rod holders ready to be put on her ice dealer has her ready for me. I cant wait to dig in
Thanks for all the info everyone I ended up putting the deposit down and will be doing the final paperwork on thurs. She does have trim tabs on her and I cant wait for the spring to come so I can put her to the water. But there is a lot of work to get her where I want her. I have a bunch of stuff to install and to do before them
I’m ready to get to work I have s hell of a palate to work with. Here are a couple pictures of her now.
Phil Yea you did speak with my buddy last night he is currently in the market for a 2190 right now. He has a 20 ft Starcraft we fish Eyes out of now. Great boat has served us very well. But like me he was in the market for a glass deep V and he is leaning heavily towards the 2190. I was pretty dead set on the zv21 until I got in that skeeter. I loved the layout better than the zv21 and rangers I have looked at. How it has the back compartment but not the sides giving me more room to work and honestly like the front deck better as well because on the nitros in front of the windshield it has the bait well and its raised, although its not much space on the deck its lost space. On the 2060 its flush with the deck. The fit and finish was just light years past the nitro. I LOVED my Z9 but having owned it for years I saw the areas that they cut corners to bring the price point down nothing major really but the finer details. I saw none of those ends being cut on the skeeter. Im looking for a great multispecies rig as my passion is smallmouth fishing but I really enjoy eye fishing as well. This boat seemed to offer the best of both platforms as far as bass boat deck up front and walleye in back all on top of a deep v. Even down to the rod lockers being able to accommodate the longer trolling rods. The zv21 could only fit up to 8 ft. As far as the rough water I really wanted to hear how people who have been in the rougher stuff in these rigs and how they felt they perform in it. For whatever reason that information for the rangers and nitros were more readily available online than that same info for the skeeters. I know both these rigs will be much better suited than the Z9 I was running. Erie is just a different animal and was looking for input from you all because the more information the better. I really appreciate all insight and thoughts you guys have been very helpful.
Thanks guys I appreciate all the input I am really excited about this potential purchase and the fact that both you guys are staying in the skeeter family is also a plus in my eyes. I was leaning heavily towards a nitro zv21 as I loved my nitro but when I went to look at the skeeter I was blown away. The fit and finish and the over all quality of how it is put together you can see they are not cutting corners with these boats and I’m excited to be possibly joining the skeeter fleet.
