    It sounds like the trips that your group take to long point are some memorable trips. I think I might have to look into a future trip up there, nice fish and keep ur’ rods bent

    I got the 27″ ul for $30 at fleet. I riged it up with a jason mitchell spinning reel It workes awsome I’d buy another one

    I have the same senerio, but I own a fl-12, I think next year I’m goimg to a marcum Lx-7(upgrade a little). I like the concept of a 10 foot scale

    Nice batch of crappies, I too have started using -plastics only- this ice season. I’ve had a great success too. Makes you feel good when you can catch a mess of fish on plastics.

    I had a trip like that last year on mille lacs. We were in 16FOW when we should of been deeper. We only caught 7″ perch. I could stay home and catch that size . It was a bad trip and I won’t be going back there any time soon!!!
