I’ve never had any issues for mold or standing water. My onboard charger is underneath the lid, next to batteries which includes the charging lights. This model does not have any other indication lights as far as charging status/voltage besides opening the lid, or switching on the main motor for the starting battery Smart gauge, or turning on the ulterra remote which I honestly don’t trust. Another option is to add a charging status/voltage meters for both a 12 volt and 36 volt system elsewhere where I can see it. I agree on possibly needing 2 shocks. Thanks for your input ripjiggen and musky ed! Sometimes I think too much when I can’t be on the water!

I must be the only one that had this thought for a modification?

I always open the compartment after every trip to dry out (not often does it get very wet) and whenever I charge the batteries to help dissipate heat. Whenever batteries are charged they emit gases, that’s what I was referring to. I guess fumes was probably the wrong word.
Also when the hatch is open I can see if everything charges fine. A gas shock would help the hinge and screws from stripping over time. I realize the water all ends up in the same spot, I would prefer it to not be in a battery compartment I guess…

The air ride from Springfield are simply an air adjustable pedestal for seat height. They are not suspension pedestals. I understand your issue as I just had neck surgery in March. The suspension seats are a game changer, and a must have. I purchased a new boat and just listed a couple pedestals in the classified ads from my old boat as the new owner didn’t want them. Feel free to check them out. Yes any true air ride pedestals are expensive, but avoiding any more injuries is money well spent. I have never met anyone that had any type of suspension seats and said they were a waste of money… Good luck on your search

I too have had the same issue. It was also a 2010 easy loader with a skeeter. The caliper punctured my rims also. Makes a pretty nasty noise at highway speeds that’s for sure! Clean up the bolt and area of Grease and use Red loctite and I put a lock washer on the bolt also and never had another issue… Here I thought I was the only one!!!

Had a 32/64′ built 3 years ago… Quality materials, but I had a very inexperienced crew show up to build. The foreman was knowledgeable, but his crew was absolutely horrible. Long story short, one wall wasn’t plumb, and had 18 roof leaks on the first roof they put on. After what was supposed to be a 2 week job, turning into a 7 month job because they would only order exactly what they needed and ended up cutting it wrong or installed it wrong, I was disappointed to say the least.
I demanded a new crew and Foreman and they were awesome to fix everything. I had several references with a different Foreman and they were all very satisfied the first time around. Very good buildings it just depends on who you get to build them. Can’t say I would recommend them, do they have Amish in your area?

I’ve had it happen twice on an easy loader trailer… Just one of the two bolts on the calipers backed out and spun against the rim of the trailer each time. Ruined both rims. One was going down the interstate, and the other was actually backing up in my driveway. Now these bolts have red loctite and a lock washer on them and checked twice a year. No problem since. Definitely not fun
