First time ever being up there for me and it was sad to see the amount of people fishing the Canadian side with minnows. We bought Canadian license and exclusively fished plastics. Friday fishing in one area watching a boat behind us catching fish they got close and I decided we were leaving. The gentleman in the bow goes you don’t have to leave because of us, my buddy says it’s slow in the area, I ask are you guys using minnows?? 15 second pause, boat driver says quietly yeah, I tell him he can’t have minnows on the Canadian side, he replies with its close enough (150′ past the line according to my map), besides we haven’t seen the chopper yet today!!!

First time out with these batteries and I’m impressed. 140ah running a 36v 112 terrova for 3 1/4 days up on rainy and not needing to charge once. Trolling motor setting between 2.5-4 pulling swimbaits up stream for 38 combined hrs and still having 22% capacity remaining at the end.

I have 2 of the 140ah arriving today. The 3rd one showed up friday. I see in the book that they recommend to fully charge each battery on its own, then hook all batteries in parallel for 12-24hrs so they equalize the voltage, then after that they are ready to be hooked in series. Then it goes on to say you should do this once every 6 months, has anyone followed this process??

Sad day indeed, will probably be watching top gun tonight with my 12yr old son Maverick, along with our 14week old female black lab named Penny Benjamin.

If my memory is any good, did Agate Bay do some dredging just before this ice season?

Not sure about this season, but a couple seasons ago they did dredge out the end of the harbor after the ice season, they hauled out 30 some dump truck loads. The piles are over on the other side of the road in the fishhouse storage area.

Agate bay would work just fine too. I have a 19′ nitro, a buddy has a 20′ nitro, plenty of people around the resort have 620 or 621s none of us have issues. The north ramp is steeper, we use the south ramp just to have a lower grade.

I hardly ever get sick, but mid January I had a dry cough for about 4 days, then the next week my wife had the same thing. No flu shots for either of us, no covid shot for me, wife had the original 2 shots. Basic cough suppressants and we were just fine.

They will still be producing the helix 5 and 7. Just wont have the option of mega 2 in a unit smaller than a 9″ with the xplorer.

I remember when I was a freshman at vermilion CC in Ely, whenever we would “procure” our totally legal beverages for bonfires and parties, we’d always stop at a place called “Beaver Liquor” with our old-enough friends.

    The name always got me.

That was the first place I bought beer at aswell when I went to college there. The sign caught my eye and I knew I had to go in.

I enjoyed the show aswell for the most part. I cuss quite a bit, but i feel the F bomb was used a little excessively. I’m starting to wonder if Sheridan has a thing for grown women to still call their father daddy??? He did it with Beth in Yellowstone and now has done it again with Anysley in Landman.

It might have been more of a thing back in pioneer days in the south,
But i just don’t see it in our culture today..

Is the public able to launch from barnacles?? Last I had heard was only barnacles seasonal guests were going to be able to launch from there, otherwise everyone else had to go out of red door

    Any insight on that Alex?

Not sure if your current situation is up-to-code (or if you care) but I believe any outlet in proximity to a water source needs to be on a GFI circuit. Easy enough to switch it over if it’s not already.

With it being a garage, all 120v receptacles have to be gfi/tamper protected regardless if by water or not. The stove will also need to be gfi protected.

Rain coming friday, melting snow, above freezing temps should dirty the water a bit and maybe bring a little flow. I’m contemplating myself about going over Sunday.

It’s a Norsk battery. They are sending me a new one. Asked them if they wanted the faulty one back (hoping they would say yes so I could get rid of it), but they said no.

I’m dealing with the same issue from norsk. They sent me 2 duds, however the guy i talked with (jake) said if i did not have a way to recycle it that i could ship it back to them and then they would reimburse the shipping costs. My county has a hazardous recycling so I can dispose for free. (County tax dollars at work)

I’ve got a bunch of snow geese that I’ll make jerky out of, but, have any of you used them to make sausage (obviously mixed with pork). Is it similar to deer?

Not snows but Canada’s I’ve made snack sticks out of and people can’t even tell it’s goose. Another thing I’ve done is goose pastrami that’s dang good.

If it wasn’t at this last years Icast I can’t imagine it will be released before next years icast in July.

Not necessarily true, mega live 2 was just announced in Amsterdam last week and expected to be released early spring.

I upgraded my graphs to be what I thought would be compatible once 2.0 came out, but unfortunately that is not the case.
Looks like when I’m ready to bite the bullet it will be garmin

I use the Liv fishing ones and have no complaints. I bought 24 of them, seems like they’ve had the buy 6 get 2 free deal going all year long. I bought different colored ones to help with who’s rod is who’s in the locker.

Socials is a pretty good place to eat at. Just down the road from home depot. Otherwise there is a really good Mexican place called fiesta brava in the strip mall. Keep going into to town and turn left after walgreens.. this time of year alot of places stop serving food at 8. I’ll be up there in 2 weeks for work myself, usually hit socials, or drive further on 94 to Rothsay and eat at the Powerhouse.
