I hardly ever get sick, but mid January I had a dry cough for about 4 days, then the next week my wife had the same thing. No flu shots for either of us, no covid shot for me, wife had the original 2 shots. Basic cough suppressants and we were just fine.

They will still be producing the helix 5 and 7. Just wont have the option of mega 2 in a unit smaller than a 9″ with the xplorer.

I remember when I was a freshman at vermilion CC in Ely, whenever we would “procure” our totally legal beverages for bonfires and parties, we’d always stop at a place called “Beaver Liquor” with our old-enough friends.

    The name always got me.

That was the first place I bought beer at aswell when I went to college there. The sign caught my eye and I knew I had to go in.

I enjoyed the show aswell for the most part. I cuss quite a bit, but i feel the F bomb was used a little excessively. I’m starting to wonder if Sheridan has a thing for grown women to still call their father daddy??? He did it with Beth in Yellowstone and now has done it again with Anysley in Landman.

It might have been more of a thing back in pioneer days in the south,
But i just don’t see it in our culture today..

Is the public able to launch from barnacles?? Last I had heard was only barnacles seasonal guests were going to be able to launch from there, otherwise everyone else had to go out of red door

    Any insight on that Alex?

Received my card in the mail today for the boat. Just an FYI for guys if yours is expired and thinking you might hit the water between now and March 4th to get yours renewed.

Not sure if your current situation is up-to-code (or if you care) but I believe any outlet in proximity to a water source needs to be on a GFI circuit. Easy enough to switch it over if it’s not already.

With it being a garage, all 120v receptacles have to be gfi/tamper protected regardless if by water or not. The stove will also need to be gfi protected.

Rain coming friday, melting snow, above freezing temps should dirty the water a bit and maybe bring a little flow. I’m contemplating myself about going over Sunday.

It’s a Norsk battery. They are sending me a new one. Asked them if they wanted the faulty one back (hoping they would say yes so I could get rid of it), but they said no.

I’m dealing with the same issue from norsk. They sent me 2 duds, however the guy i talked with (jake) said if i did not have a way to recycle it that i could ship it back to them and then they would reimburse the shipping costs. My county has a hazardous recycling so I can dispose for free. (County tax dollars at work)

I’ve got a bunch of snow geese that I’ll make jerky out of, but, have any of you used them to make sausage (obviously mixed with pork). Is it similar to deer?

Not snows but Canada’s I’ve made snack sticks out of and people can’t even tell it’s goose. Another thing I’ve done is goose pastrami that’s dang good.

If it wasn’t at this last years Icast I can’t imagine it will be released before next years icast in July.

Not necessarily true, mega live 2 was just announced in Amsterdam last week and expected to be released early spring.

I upgraded my graphs to be what I thought would be compatible once 2.0 came out, but unfortunately that is not the case.
Looks like when I’m ready to bite the bullet it will be garmin

I use the Liv fishing ones and have no complaints. I bought 24 of them, seems like they’ve had the buy 6 get 2 free deal going all year long. I bought different colored ones to help with who’s rod is who’s in the locker.

Socials is a pretty good place to eat at. Just down the road from home depot. Otherwise there is a really good Mexican place called fiesta brava in the strip mall. Keep going into to town and turn left after walgreens.. this time of year alot of places stop serving food at 8. I’ll be up there in 2 weeks for work myself, usually hit socials, or drive further on 94 to Rothsay and eat at the Powerhouse.

Looks like they are pulling docks tonight at hok si la and roschen, closing down the ramps with the rising water.

I’ll throw in 2 more that come to mind. The hot – n Tot and the Jitterbug

The hot n tot is deadly being pulled on leadcore, caught tons of eyes on mille lacs and lotw last year. I even loaded up on more of them this spring.

    Boone,
the no cull is not a Minnesota reg. For walleyes fishing on the river as long as you only have 3 eyes in your livewell you can keep upgrading, its once you box number 4 you can no longer cull because you have your daily limit (mille lacs used to always have No Culling allowed when you read the regs, back in the day when a guy could keep a few). If they would have allowed 2 fish over 20″ 1 would have to have been from the pro and 1 from the co angler, since wisconsin doesn’t allow party fishing or culling. Yes being only limited to minnesota waters would be wierd.
If I remember right probably around 6yrs ago BASS had an event in la crosse, Brandon Paulinick got DQ’d after leading day 1 because he culled a fish while in wisconsin water, but thought he was on the minnesota side, he was about 50yds off of the line.

I think it was to make it more competitive along with it being a no cull event. When the schedule was first announced for Red Wing it was also going to be limited to only Minnesota waters. Enough anglers scrutinized the NWT’s decision and that changed it to both minnesota and wisconsin waters.

Sometimes dropping them in can give them a quick jolt to take off right away, versus setting them in gingerly and holding the tail and moving back and forth to revive them.

Nets can go in at anytime, most pack up and head back to Wisconsin before opener to avoid potential conflict with state anglers, they also can net in the fall, but I believe the ones that do are mostly the mille lacs band.

If they reach any quota for any species before walleye they have to be done, but that has never happened in all the years. I believe it would happen if the netting was actually regulated and had an official in each boat when nets are pulled.

One note would be after your rinse, fry up a small piece to test for saltiness, if too salty for your liking then rinse or let soak in water a bit and then repeat.
